How to apply: (Please see Instructions also for details)To apply for the above programmes, eligible candidates must download and print the application form available on our website:www.bitmesra.ac.in, and

• Send the completed form along with two recent colour photographs (one pasted on the form and one attached by clip to the form), with photocopies of all marksheets and certificates (see List of Enclosures)  and   a  crossed  demand  draft  of  Rs.  2,500/-  in  favour  of  ‘Birla  Institute  of Technology’, payable at Ranchi. Candidates may also pay the application fee through State Bank Collect (link given on the Institute website).
• Send  by  courier/speed  post  [so  that  you  may  e-track]  to  the  Office  of  Dean  Admissions  & Academic Coordination, Mesra, Ranchi, to reach us by 5:00 pm on 15th July 2019. Note:  The  candidates  must  have  passed  their  Class  12  /  equivalent  from  State  of Jharkhand  and  should  be  BC-I/BC-II  category  of  Jharkhand  State  only. BC  certificate should be issued on or after 1st April 2018 [ Validity upto Dec 2019] by a competent authority, and  countersigned  by  an  officer  not  below  the  rank of  S.D.O.  of  the  State  of  Jharkhand [Certificate  issued  by  an  officer  less  than  the  rank  of  SDO  will  not  be  accepted  and  their application will liable to be rejected].
• Applications  reaching  us  after  the  due  date  &  time are  liable  to  be  rejected  /  may  not  be processed.
• Incomplete applications or applications received without all required enclosures are liable to be rejected.
• Write “Application for BC 2019 at BIT Mesra on the envelope”.
• Use separate application form, in case applying for both B.Tech. and B.Arch. programmes and pay additional application fee.
  

Candidates must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

• Only  those  candidates  whose  date  of  birth  falls on  or  after  1  October  1994  are  eligible  for admission.  Date  of  Birth  as  recorded  in  the  Secondary  Education  Board  (Class  X,  High  School) certificate only will be taken as authentic.
• Candidate  must  have  passed  in  the  final  examination  of  10+2  (Class  XII),  or  its  equivalent, referred to as the qualifying examination.
• Subject  combinations  required  in  the  qualifying examination  for  admission  to  B.Tech.  &  B.Arch. programmes shall be as under:

• The candidate will have to produce a certificate from the respective Board, stating that he / she falls within the top 20 percentile of successful candidates.

Crossed Demand Draft / Online payment receipt of Rs. 2,500/- (non-refundable).

Selection procedures

Provisional  selection  will  be  made  strictly  on  merit  based  on  Common  Rank  List  -CRL  Rank  in  JEE (Main)  2019,  provided  candidates  satisfy  the  eligibility  criteria  of  age  and  marks  in  Class  12  / Equivalent  Qualifying  Examination,  immediately  after  verification  of  documents  till  seats  remain available.

• Certificate from Principal of School / College from where candidate has passed qualifying examination.
