In Odisha, admission and counseling process for filling Undergraduate Medical/dental seats is administered by Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) cell. The aim is to fill the 1500 seats in the medical college and 363 seats in the dental college of Odisha state. The admission to these seats will be based on the NEET 2024 score. Out of these seats, 85% seats are state quota seats for which OJEE conducts online centralised counselling based on Odisha MBBS state rank and 15% are AIQ seats which will be filled by MCC on the basis of NEET 2024 Score.

Admission Process:
Candidates seeking admission to MBBS/BDS programs in Odisha are required to fill out the application form to participate in the counseling. The competent authority will release the application form on 10-08-2024 12:00 NOON. Candidates can submit the duly filled application form on or before 14-08-2024 11:59 PM.
Registration: While filling the application form, candidates need to register themselves by creating the login id and password. Candidates must then submit the correct contact details, name and DOB to complete the registration.
Filling in the details: After successful registration, candidates will receive a verification mail or SMS on their registered contact details. By using this verification link, candidates be required to verify their candidature. After completing the digital verification, candidates need to fill in their NEET score and rank, academic details and personal details.
Application fee payment and form submission: The non-refundable fee of Rs 1000 (for all categories) must be deposited in the online mode by using debit/credit cards or net banking. After fee payment, candidates will finally submit their application form.

Counselling Process
For Odisha MBBS/BDS admissions, total three rounds of counselling will be conducted including a mop-up round. The admission authority will separately release the state merit list for each round. The list will be prepared on the basis of NEET-2024 score and it would include the details like name, roll number, NEET overall AIR, NEET marks, percentile, and date of birth.
Round-I:
For round-I of counseling, OJEE will release the state merit list of registered candidates on 20-08-2024. Candidates need to fill their choices of colleges as well courses, in which they want to get admission. The choices once filled cannot be edited. Based on these choices and courses filled, NEET score & rank, seat availability, and reservation criteria, Odisha MBBS 2024 admission will be granted for 85% state quota seats for round-I.
OJEE will publish the 1st Round Allotment and Downloading of Allotment Letter on 27-08-2024, 5.00 PM. Candidates need to download their admission letter and will be required to report at the respective colleges allotted to them for document verification and provisional admissions between 29-08-2024 to 03-09-2024
Round-II:
After round-I of counseling, the counseling authority will conduct a second round of counseling to fill the vacant seats. OJEE will publish the list of seats left vacant to be announced later. Candidates willing to participate for the 2nd round of counselling will have to fill their choices of courses and colleges to be announced later. Based on these choices and courses filled, NEET score & rank, seat availability and reservation criteria, admission will be granted for round-II.
OJEE will publish the result of seat allotment for the second round to be announced later. Candidates need to download their admission letter and will be required to report at the respective colleges allotted to them for document verification.
Round-III:
After first and second round of counseling, if any seats will remain vacant, then OJEE will conduct a spot counseling or mop-up round on (TBA)
Note: The candidates who have taken admission in 1st or 2nd round of counseling are not eligible to participate in Spot counselling.
