Rajasthan MBBS/BDS process explained for 2025

In Rajasthan, admission and counseling process for filling Undergraduate Medical/dental seats is administered by office of the Chairman, NEET UG Medical and Dental Admission/Counselling Board and Principal & Controller, Government Dental College, Jaipur. The aim is to fill the 4830 seats in the medical colleges and 1450 seats in the dental colleges of Rajasthan state. The admission to these seats will be based on the NEET 2025 score. Out of these seats, 85% seats are state quota seats for which centralized counselling will be organized on the basis of state merit rank derived from NEET scores and 15% are AIQ seats which will be filled by MCC on the basis of NEET 2025 Score.

Admission Process

For admission to MBBS/BDS courses in Rajasthan, candidates will be required to fill the application form for each round of counseling. The online registration process for first round of counseling has been started on 07/08/2025. Last date for submitting the online application form at the website is 09/08/2025 8:00 pm.

Counselling Process 

Round-I:

The admission authority will publish the provisional merit list of registered candidates for round-I of counseling on 10.08.2025

Choice filling: Candidates whose names have been displayed in the state merit list are required to fill their choices 12.08.2025 to 14.08.2025
(auto-locking of choices at 11.55 pm on 14.08.2025) of colleges as well courses, in which they want to get admission. The choices once filled cannot be edited.

Registration fee: 

All candidates are required to deposit non-refundable application fee of Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 1200/- for SC, ST, ST-STA category candidate of Rajasthan state domicile as well as candidate of Rajasthan state domicile whose family annual income is less than INR 2.5 lacs) + applicable transaction charges. 

Seat allotment result: The authority will publish the final result of seat allotment for first round on 18.08.2025. Reporting cum joining by candidates for  Govt. / Govt. Society – Rajmes, Jhalawar / RUHS Medical colleges – at Academic Block, SMS Medical College, Jaipur. All private medical colleges and all Dental colleges - at Govt. Dental College, Jaipur against first-round counselling for deposition of original documents, prescribed fee through Demand draft / electronic mode and 2 copies of application form along with all relevant documents (self-attested)

Joining in the institute: Candidates who will be granted admission in the first round of counseling will be required to report at the allotted institute for joining and medical check up.

Round-II:

After round-I of counseling, the counseling authority will conduct a second round of counseling as scheduled above. A candidate allotted a seat in First Round and does not report/join the allotted college he would not be penalized (Registration Fee will not be forfeited) and shall be eligible for subsequent rounds. First-round joined candidate who has not been up-graded during second round (offline) counseling at his merit point, may resign at the spot at the time of counseling without forfeiture of Registration Fee, failing which he will be deemed as joined candidate for second round and rules will apply accordingly.

Mop up round:

Mop-up round (off-line) will be conducted to fill-up seats remaining vacant after completion of 2nd round off-line counseling. For this purpose, fresh application form shall be opened on all India basis. Mop up counseling will be conducted as per schedule listed above.
