Tripura Counselling Details for MBBS & BDS for the year 2020

In Tripura, admission and counseling process for filling Undergraduate Medical/dental seats is administered by Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tripura. The aim is to fill the tenta 1 MBBS and BDS seats in the medical and dental colleges of Tripura. The admission to these seats will be based on the NEET 2020 score. Out of these seats, 85% seats are state quota seats for which DME, Tripura will conduct online counselling on the basis of scores obtained in NEET UG and 15% are AIQ seats which will be filled by MCC on the basis of NEET 2020 Score.

Admission Process

Candidates seeking admission to MBBS/BDS programmes in Tripura are required to fill the application form released on October 19, 2020. Candidate can submit the duly filled application form along with registration fee on or before (Date : To be notified).

Registration: While filling the application form, candidates need to register themselves by entering the correct contact details, name and DOB to complete the registration. personal and academic details like NEET score and rank, domicile, category etc.

Uploading documents: Candidates have to upload their scanned photograph and signature along with the prescribed documents.

Application fee payment and form submission: The non refundable fee of Rs 1500 (for  General candidates), Rs 1400 (for General candidates - EWS/OBC NCL) and Rs 800(for  SC/ST/PwD/Transgender) must be deposited in the online mode by using debit/credit cards or net banking.

Final submission and printout of confirmation page: After the successful payment of application fee, the confirmation page of online  application form 2020 will be generated on the screen. Candidates must take a printout of the confirmation page for future references.

Document Verification: Candidates who have filled application form on time, will have to report at the nodal centre for verification of original documents (Date : To be notified)

Counselling Process

For Tripura MBBS/BDS admissions, total three rounds of counselling will be conducted including a mop-up round. Each round of counseling will be considered as fresh round.

Round-I:

For round-I of counseling, DME, Tripura will publish the provisional state merit list (To be notified) for the registered candidates (whose documents will be verified and will be found eligible). The list will be prepared on the basis of NEET-2020 score and the information filled in application form.

 

Choice filling & locking: Candidates in the state merit list will have to fill their choices of colleges as well courses (To be notified) in which they want to get admission. The choices once locked cannot be edited. Based on the choices and courses filled, NEET score & rank, seats availability and reservation criteria, Tripura MBBS/BDS 2020 admission will be granted for round-I.

DME, Tripura will publish the result of seat allotment for round-I of counseling on (Date : To be notified). Candidates who will be allotted seats will be required to download their seat allotment letters and report at their respective allotted institute for document submission, payment of fee and bond submission upto (Date : To be notified).

 

Round-II (schedule will be notified soon)

After round-I of counseling, the counseling authority will conduct a second round of counseling to fill the vacant seats. Candidates who have already registered in first round of counseling will not be required to register again for round-II or mop up round.
