Uttarakhand MBBS/BDS process explained for 2020

In Uttarakhand, admission and counseling process for filling Undergraduate Medical/dental seats is administered by Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University. The aim is to fill around 700 MBBS and 200 BDS seats in the medical and dental colleges of Uttarakhand. The admission to these seats will be based on the NEET 2020 score. Out of these seats, 85% seats are state quota seats for which Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University will conduct online counselling on the basis of scores obtained in NEET UG and 15% are AIQ seats which will be filled by MCC on the basis of NEET 2020 Score.

Admission Process

For admission to MBBS/BDS courses in Uttarakhand, candidates were required to register online by filling the application form which are available at http://hnbumuexams.com/UKNEETUG20/Default.aspx from 06-11-2020 (01:00 PM) to 10-11- 2020 (up to 08:00 PM, as server Time).

 Counselling Process

For Uttarakhand MBBS/BDS admissions, total three rounds of counselling will be conducted including a mop-up round. The admission authority will separately release the state merit list for each round. The list will be prepared on the basis of NEET-2020 score and it would include the details like name, roll number, NEET overall AIR, NEET marks, percentile, and date of birth. 

Round-I:

The admission authority will publish the state merit list for 1st round on 11-11-2020 (After 02:00 PM). Candidates whose names are displayed in the state merit list are eligible to attend the first round of counseling. Candidates need to fill their choices (06-11-2020 (01:00 PM) to 10-11- 2020 (up to 08:00 PM) of colleges as well courses, in which they want to get admission. The choices once filled cannot be edited. Based on these choices and courses filled, NEET score & rank, seats availability and reservation criteria, Uttarakhand MBBS/BDS 2020 admission will be granted for round-I of counseling.

The authority will publish the result of seat allotment for first round on 13-11-2020 (After 08:00 PM). Aspirants whose name will be displayed in the seat allotment result of round one will need to report at the allotted institute for document submission and medical checkup. Candidate will have to compulsorily join the college and course so allotted, then only the candidate will be eligible to participate in second round of counseling.

 

Note: If a candidate allotted a seat in 1st Round and even if candidate does not report/join the allotted college, he/she would not be penalized and will be eligible for subsequent rounds. Candidates who have taken admission against the allotted seats will be permitted for course/college/quota up-gradation upto second round of counseling only. The registered candidate who does not get allotment to any College may participate in the next round of counselling.

Round-II

After round-I of counseling, the authority will conduct a second round of counseling to fill all the vacant seats/ surrendered/ forfeited/ cancelled/ newly added seats.  Candidates who have will not be allotted seats in 1st round of counseling; who have reported at allotted institute during 1st round of allotment and wants to participate for second round up-gradation; who have allotted seats but do not join; and fresh registrations are eligible for second round of counseling.

Online registration: To participate in second round, new candidates have to register online and submit the counseling fee and security fee (To be notified). Candidates who have already registered opting for seat up gradation have to online re-register themselves without payment of registration fee.

 

Provisional seat matrix and state merit list: The authority will publish the provisional seat matrix for round-II on (To be notified). Also the provisional state merit list for round-II will be released online on (To be notified).

 

Option to vacate seat: Candidates who have admitted against round-I allotted seat has a last option to vacate his/her allotted seat without forfeiture of fees (free exit) by online mode only upto (To be notified). After that no candidate will be permitted to vacate/resign/surrender his/her admitted seat.

 

Final seat matrix and state merit list: The competent authority will release the final seat matrix and state merit list for round-II of counseling on (To be notified).

 

Online choice filling & locking: Candidates need to fill their choices (To be notified) of colleges as well courses, in which they want to get admission. The choices once filled cannot be edited. Based on these choices and courses filled, NEET score & rank, seats availability and reservation criteria, Uttarakhand MBBS/BDS 2020 admission will be granted for round-II of counseling.

The authority will publish the result of seat allotment for second round on (To be notified). The candidates allotted seats in 2nd round will have to report at the allotted college on or before (To be notified).

 

Note: If a candidate allotted a seat in 2nd round of counselling and does not want to join the allotted seat he/she can still exit with forfeiture (losing security amount deposited) and once candidate joined the allotted seat would not be eligible to vacate/resign/surrender the seat.  If a candidate does not report at the allotted college during Round II, then he has to register again for Mop-Up round, candidate security amount will be forfeited and he/she will have to register fresh in Mop-Up round with Fresh Payment (registration fee and security amount both).

Mop up round-I (for MBBS & BDS both) (to be notified)

Candidates who are registering for the first time; who have registered but not allotted seat in Round I & Round II; candidates except those who are holding/joined a seat of Round I or Round II; who have joined seat in Round II of Deemed/ Central Universities are not eligiblefor Mop up round of counseling.

To participate in mop up round, candidates have to register online (including payment of required registration as well as security fee both) themselves. Candidates who have already registered are also required to deposit the registration fee of Rs. 2000/- only. He/she is not required to deposit the security amount if already submitted and not forfeited. The candidates whose security amount is forfeited are required to deposit security amount again to participate in mop-up round of counselling.

Candidates who will register for mop up round will have to report personally along with required original documents at the designated counseling venue as per schedule.

The choices for Mop-up round will be opted on the spot by the candidates in front of the counseling board as per their eligibility & available seats. The candidate, if allotted any seat, has to secure the admission on the spot at the college counter on the counseling venue by depositing the full amount of tuition fee and original documents.

 

College level counselling for stray vacancies (for MBBS only)(to be notified)

The list of ten times (of the registered candidates for mop-up round only) of number of Stray vacancies will be send to medical/dental colleges to be filled in the order of merit. There will be no fresh registration of candidates in stray vacancy round. Candidates admitted in Mop-up round will not be included in the list.

 

Mop-up round-II (for BDS only) (to be notified)

The procedure will be same as mop up round-I.
