NEET UG 2026 to Go Online from Next Year, Re-Exam Scheduled on 21 June

NEET UG 2026 re-exam will be held on 21 June. NTA announces major changes including online mode from next year and extra exam time for students.

NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Date Officially Announced

The National Testing Agency has announced the NEET-Re Exam 2026 date. According to the NTA's official notification, the NEET UG examination will be held nationwide on 21 June 2026. Students will not have to pay any additional fee to sit the re-exam, nor will they need to register again.

NEET UG 2026 to Shift to Online Mode from Next Year

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced at a press conference that the NEET exam will be conducted in online mode from next year. It should be noted that until now, the NEET exam was conducted on OMR sheets. 


Six Major Changes Announced for NEET UG Examination

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced at a press conference that several major decisions have been made regarding the NEET examination. To ensure future examinations are conducted in an organised manner, the government has taken six major steps.

  • Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated that students will receive their admit cards for the examination, scheduled for 21st June, by 14th June.
  • From next year, the NEET examination will be conducted online, rather than on OMR sheets.
  • Students taking the examination will be given a one-week period to select their exam centre at their convenience.
  • Transport will also be arranged by the government for students taking the exam.
  • No financial burden will be placed on students for the examination.
  • Students who sit the exam will also be given an additional 15 minutes.
  • Helpline facility for students

NTA Issues Helpline Numbers for Students

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has urged all students to sit for the examination without fear. The minister has also appealed to parents and students to rely solely on official information for details regarding the examination. The NTA has also issued helpline numbers to assist students and parents. Students can contact these numbers, 011-40759000 or 011-69227700, for any information regarding the examination.
