The whole process of registration will be completed only when registration fee will be paid fully to the concerned portal.

All candidates are advised not to wait for the last date of registration process to avoid last dates rush.

Registration fee will not be refunded in any case.

Applicants are advised to check his / her eligibility for the course which they are applying for.

Steps In Registration Process:

  • Go to the Official site.
  • Please go to the new candidate registration button and complete the registration process.
  • Candidate must provide Correct Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number and Email Address as these details cannot be changed once the registration is complete.
  • Candidate has to fill in the above mentioned details to receive the User ID and Password.
  • Candidate will receive the User ID on the registered email address and Password as SMS on the registered mobile number.
  • Candidate can login with the User ID and Password to complete the application form.
  • After Registration, Applicants will need scanned copies of the certificates on the basis of which they wish to claim admission.
  • The next section will be of Payment of the registration fees which the candidate have to pay.
  • Another section will be of making correction by the candidate if any wrongly filled by the candidate.
  • University will declare minimum of five Cut-offs.
  • If the candidate is eligible for admission after declaring of cut offs candidate will have to select Course and College.
  • Lastly candidate have to pay admission fee and get verified the original documents by the respective college in which he / she have got admission.

Note:

  • On approval of the admission by the Principal of the College, fee payment will be activated on the applicant’s dashboard in the Admission Portal. The fee payment must be done within 24 hours of the generation of the approval for the admission process to be completed.
  • The Original Mandatory Documents produced at the time of admission are to be verified online. The Documents which cannot be verified online are to be submitted in original within one week of the last day of UG Admissions for forensic verification.

Eligibility for UG Programmes 2020:

The applicant must be a citizen of India. (Applicants seeking admission under Foreign Students’ category to apply separately on Foreign Students‘ Registry website, http://fsr.du.ac.in.)

  • The applicant should have passed the Class XII examination of anyBoard / University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • The applicant should have passed individually in each subject required (including practicals if any) for calculating merit and eligibility to the course they seek admission in. Applicants with “compartment” results are not eligible to apply.
  • Applicants with gap year(s) will not be at any disadvantage for the purpose of admission to undergraduate courses.
  • Applicants under the UR / SC / ST / OBC / EWS categories are eligible to seek admission based on both merit and entrance tests to courses in all Colleges / Departments (except Minority Colleges, wherein some categories may not be applicable).
  • Applicants from the Sikh and Christian minorities may also seek admission under the minority quota in the Minority Colleges of the University.

The following categories are designated “supernumerary”:

  • PwD (Persons with Disabilities);
  • CW (Children / Widows of Personnel of the Armed Forces including Para-Military);
  • KM (Kashmiri Migrants);
  • Prime Minister's special scholarship for Jammu and Kashmir;
  • SS (Nominated Sikkimese Students);
  • WQ (Ward Quota);
  • ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities);
  • Sports.




Documents for admission

Documents Required for Uploading at the time of Registration Applicants are advised to keep ready following documents:

  •  Photocopy of all the documents listed below.
  •  On the photocopy of each document, the applicant must sign and write “self-attested”
  •  Scan all these self-attested copies and keep them saved on the device (laptop or mobile device) on which you will carry out the online registration. You will need all these scanned, self-attested copies handy to upload them to complete the online registration.
    The applicant will not be able to preview the application, pay the fee or submit the application without uploading the mandatory documents.

List of Documents:

  • Passport size photograph of the applicant (10-50 kb in size for upload in jpg / jpeg / png format).
  • Scanned signature of the applicant (10-50 kb in size for upload in jpg / jpeg / png format).
  • Self -Attested Class X certificate / marksheet containing Date of Birth (100-500 kb in size for upload in jpg / jpeg / png format).
  • Self -Attested Class XII Mark Sheet, if results have been announced. (In case the Marksheet has not been issued by the Board, a self-attested copy of the Marksheet downloaded from
  • the respective Board’s website should be uploaded). (100-500 kb in size for upload in jpg / jpeg / png format).
  • SC / ST / PwD / CW / KM Certificate (in the name of the Applicant) issued by the competent authority (100-500 kb in size for upload in jpg / jpeg / png format).
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of the Applicant) issued on or after March 31, 2019. The OBC caste must be included in Central list issued by the Government of India.http://ncbc.nic.in. (100-500 kb for upload in jpg / jpeg / png format).
  • EWS Certificate issued by SDM certifying the applicant can claim reservation under this category, dated March 31, 2019 or later.(100-500 kb in size for upload in jpg / jpeg / png format)
  • Self-attested copies of Sports and / or ECA certificates. (100-500 kb in size per document for upload in jpg / jpeg / png format), if applying under these categories.

Any certificates submitted under the categories mentioned in subheadings 3/4/5 must match with the names that appear on their corresponding School Board qualifying certificates; similarly their parents’ names must match in both sets of certificates. If applicants do not have these certificates at the time of application, they may upload the acknowledgement slip/receipt of application and produce the original certificate at the time of admission.

The uploaded documents will need to be presented in the colleges at the time of admission, for online and/or forensic verification. If any false attestation / falsified records are detected, the applicant will be debarred from the University and / or its colleges and penal action will be taken against the applicant.
