Commissioner for Entrance Examinations Kerala Bachelor of Laws 2020 or CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020 is the entrance examination for admission to LL.B.. CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020 is conducted by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala.

CEE Kerala LL.B. for the year 2020 has been announced by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala and will be held from 20/06/2020 to 22/06/2020. The application forms will be available from 08/03/2020 till 20/05/2020. The exam is in online mode. The duration of the exam will be 120 minutes. Admit card will be available from 12/06/2020. Result is expected to be announced on 03/08/2020.

CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The minimum Academic Qualification required are passed Graduation in any discipline with at least 45% marks in aggregate of any University in Kerala or of any other Universities, recognised by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto. However, candidates belonging to the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes need only 42% marks and those belonging to the SC / ST need only 40% marks.

No rounding off of percentage of marks to the nearest higher integer is permitted. Applicants who have obtained first degree certificate after prosecuting studies in distance or correspondence method shall also be considered as eligible for admission. The applicants who have obtained graduation / post graduation through open universities system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission.  

Candidates who are appearing or appeared for the qualifying examination can also apply for the CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020. Such candidates become eligible for admission only if  they produce the Pass Certificate and Mark List of the qualifying examination at the time of admission. 

Age Limit:

  • There is no lower age limit for admission to the 3 year LL.B. programme The upper age limit for admission will be subject to the decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. In case if age restriction under clause 28 of Legal Education Rules, 2008 of BCI India is reinstated, only those candidates within the stipulated age limit will be allowed to appear for the CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020.

    Students applying for the CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020 have to fill up the application form on the official site.

    Requirements to be readied before you start filling up the Application Form of CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020:

    • PC or a Laptop with Internet connectivity
    • Qualification details
    • Scanned copy of passport photograph in JPG or JPEG format (size between 15 kb to 100 kb) Scanned copy of signature in JPG or JPEG format (size between 10 kb and 100 kb) .
    • Functional e - mail Id as all communication are made through email; Parents email id is recommended.
    • Mobile number as all information is sent through SMS too. Parents phone number can be used.
    • For online payments, usually Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card Service is a must.
    • Printer is required for keeping hard copies; if there is no printer, one can save the printouts, transfer them on to a pen drive and get it printed from a cyber-café.
    • It is recommended to download the information Bulletin Brochure and read it carefully so that you understand various requirements to fill up the form.

    The Usual Steps in filling up the Online Application Form of the CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020:

    • Step - 1 : Students have register for Online Application Form. A login and Password are created.
    • Step - 2 : Student has to Complete the Application Form and its various sections.
    • Step - 3 : Payments have to be made by Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card.
    • Step - 4 : Required documents in the form of Scanned Images of Candidate’s Photograph, Candidate’s Signature and Other mentioned documents.

    In view of the Covid - 19 situation, the candidates who have applied CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020 can change the examination centre choices through the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations from 02.06.2020 to 04.06.2020, 10 am. Candidate can enter their Application Number and Password on the web page available after clicking on the link ‘Candidate Portal’ provided in the above website through the menu ‘Change Exam Centre Choices’ available in the Home page.

    The CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020 will be of two hours duration and will consist of 200 Objective Type Questions of three marks each. For every wrong answer one mark will be deducted. The questions will be based on :

    Examination Day Instructions

    Preparation for the Exam Day

    • The Admit card should be downloaded and printed Immediately.
    • A few copies of the Admit Card should be kept in reserve as these are also used at the time of admission and counselling.
    • Photo to be fixed on the admit card, if required
    • Items not to be taken to the Exam centre or barred should be noted.

    Before entering the Exam Centre 

    • Try to reach the exam centre one hour prior to the time advised in the admit card.
    • Before leaving for the site, please have a hearty breakfast or light lunch depending on the session. Drink plenty of fluids; as in summers dehydration can set in affecting your performance in the exam.
    • Have a cookie or a chocolate just before entering the centre; this prevents hypoglycaemia and thus helps you stay alert longer improving your results.
    • If it is a busy centre, then don’t wait till last for the entry and security check.
    • Centre will not allow you to enter after the stipulated time of closing the doors.
    • Admission to the Exam Centre is with the Admit Card; no candidates shall be admitted to the test without the production of the Admit Card at the Test Centre.
    • Usually no bags are allowed.
    • No eatables are allowed.
    • No communication equipment such as mobile phones / pager/ wireless set, scanner, camera or any such electronic / digital gadget etc are allowed in the exam centre; carrying one will lead to disqualification.
    • Candidates are required to take their respective seats at least 15 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
    • He / she will not be allowed to leave the examination hall before the end of the examination.

    After Entering the centre

    • In no case, a candidate is allowed to enter the examination hall after the exam starts.
    • No candidate shall be allowed to leave the examination hall before the time allotted for the respective paper.
    • Candidates are not allowed to talk to each other during the examination.
    • Smoking is a not allowed.
    • Misbehaviour of any kind can lead to expulsion of the candidate.

    CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020 Challenge/Corrections

    Methodology for challenge

    If any candidate has any complaint regarding the answer keys, the same should be submitted to the CEE, in writing along with supporting documents and a fee of Rs.100/- per question by way of DD in favour of CEE, payable at Thiruvananthapuram, within 5 days from the date of publication of answer keys on the website of the CEE. If the complaint filed is found to be genuine, the fee remitted while filing the complaint will be refunded. Complaints received after the stipulated date and without requisite fee will not be considered under any circumstances. Complaints received by E-mail / Fax will not be considered on any account.

    • Qualifying Standards in the Entrance Examination:

    To qualify in the CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020, and thereby figure in the rank list, a General category candidate should get a minimum of 10% of the total marks in the CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020 and for candidates belonging to SC / ST category should get a minimum of 5% of the total marks.

    • Resolving of Tie:

    In case there is tie in the total marks in the CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020, the candidate securing higher marks in the part ‘Aptitude for legal Studies’ of the CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020 will be placed higher. If the tie persists, candidate with higher marks in the part ‘English’ will be placed higher in the ranking. If the tie still exists, the age of the candidate will be considered, the elder being placed higher in ranking than the younger.

    CEE Kerala LL.B. 2020 Admission Procedure

    The Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) will be done online to give allotment to the Three Year LL.B courses. Candidates will be allowed to exercise their option for courses/colleges as per their ranks in the Computer Based entrance examination for admission to Three Year LL.B programme 2020 conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. The allotment of courses / colleges for the General Merit and reservation categories will be strictly in accordance with the rank list and category lists mentioned in clause 12 above.
