Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for (B.Ed and B.Ed. (ELCT) 2020 or MAH CET (B.Ed and B.Ed. (ELCT) 2020 is the entrance examination for admission to B.Ed. and B.Ed. (English). MAH CET (B.Ed and B.Ed. (ELCT) 2020 is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra.

MAH CET (B.Ed and B.Ed. (ELCT) for the year 2020 has been announced by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra and will be held from 21/10/2020 to 23/10/2020. The application forms will be available from 07/09/2020 till 08/09/2020. The exam is in online mode. It is being conducted in English and Marathi languages. Admit card will be available from 16/10/2020. The result date will be announced later.

Educational Qualification :

  • The Candidates passing Graduation and or Post Graduation Examination from a recognized
  • institution in Maharashtra State or the candidates passing equivalent examination from a
  • recognized University recognized by University Grants Commission from Maharashtra
  • State, or From the University constituted or recognized by the Union or by a State
  • Government, which is in Maharashtra

Qualification Marks :

  • 50% Marks for Open Category and 45% marks for Reserved Class candidates belonging to State of Maharashtra having caste certificate, Caste validity and Non Creamy layer Certificate if applicable.

    Application Form Filling Instructions

    Steps in Filling up the application form:

    Step 1

    • Go to the Official site.

    Step 2

    • Please go to the new candidate registration button and complete the registration process.
    • Candidate must provide Correct Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number and Email Address as these details cannot be changed once the registration is complete.

    Step 3

    • The candidate has to fill in the above-mentioned details to receive the User ID and Password.
    • The candidate will receive the User ID on the registered email address and Password as SMS on the registered mobile number. Overseas candidates will receive both User ID and Password on registered email address.

    Step 4

    • Candidate can log in with the User ID and Password to complete the application form for MAH CET (B.Ed and B.Ed. (ELCT) 2020
    • After Registration, the personal details section of the application form has to be filled up.
    • The next section to be filled up is the Academics section
    • The third section is about your work experience details if any.
    • The fourth section is choosing the programs or courses which one wants to apply for. Candidate can then choose the center of examination.
    • The fifth section is the last section, where the payment has to be done according to the details provided on the official website.

    Step 5

    Before completing the payment, the candidate can preview the application form and make any corrections, if required. Once the payment is done, no changes are allowed. Once done the candidate will agree to the declaration by ticking the appropriate box and submitting the form. The final application form should be printed and a copy kept with you.

    Mental Ability : The content of this test aims to judge your reasoning power it also helps to judge how accurate you can think. This test will contain questions based on Series, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Relationship, Analogies, Classification, Problems on Dice, etc., either in Verbal or Non-Verbal form. 

    General Knowledge : The aim of this section is to test how well you are acquainted with the happenings in the surroundings at Local, National, Intemational Level including Past Events, Current Affairs including, Science and Technology, History, Geography, Civics, Political Science and Literature in General.

    Teacher Aptitude :  The Test aims to know your capacity to become teacher. It will contain questions  related to your keenness to update your knowledge, leadership qualities awareness about  changes in Education and Society, Communication and Professional Commitment etc.

    Examination Day Instructions

    Preparation for the Exam Day:

    • The Admit card should be downloaded and printed Immediately. 
    • A few copies of the Admit Card should be kept in reserve as these are also used at the time of admission and counselling.
    • Documents to be taken to the Exam centre should be kept ready.
    • Stationary related articles as mentioned should be kept ready.
    • Dress related details will also be provided in the prospectus as well as with the admit card and should be followed.
    • Items not to be taken to the Exam centre or barred should be noted.

    Before entering the Exam Centre:

    • Try to reach the exam centre one hour prior to the time advised in the admit card. 
    • Before leaving for the site, please have a hearty breakfast or light lunch depending on the session. Drink plenty of fluids; as in summers dehydration can set in affecting your performance in the exam.
    • Have a cookie or chocolate just before entering the centre; this prevents hypoglycaemia and thus helps you stay alert longer improving your results.
    • If it is a busy centre, then don’t wait till last for the entry and security check.
    • Centre will not allow you to enter after the stipulated time of closing the doors.
    • Admission to the Exam Centre is with the Admit Card; no candidates shall be admitted to the test without the production of the Admit Card at the Test Centre.
    • Usually, no bags are allowed.
    • No eatables are allowed.
    • No communication equipment such as mobile phones/pager/ wireless set, scanner, camera or any such electronic/digital gadget etc are allowed in the exam centre; carrying one will lead to disqualification.
