VITEEE 2024 Exam - Dates, Registration, Eligibility, Syllabus, Exam Pattern
Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination 2024 or VITEEE 2024 is the entrance examination for admission to B.Tech. (Biotechnology Engg.), B.Tech. (Civil Engg.), B.Tech. (Computer Science and Engg.), B.Tech. (Electronics and Communication Engg.), B.Tech. (Electrical and Electronics Engg.) and other courses. VITEEE 2024 is conducted by Vellore Institute of Technology.
VITEEE for the year 2024 has been announced by Vellore Institute of Technology and will be held from 19/04/2024 to 30/04/2024. The exam is in online mode. The duration of the exam will be 150 minutes. Result is expected to be announced on 03/05/2024.

VITEEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The Minimum Academic Qualifications for VITEEE 2024 required are.
NATIONALITY
- The applicant should be a Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / PIO/OCI.
- NRI applicants can directly apply under ‘NRI Category’ through NRI application form.
- Foreign applicants who studied/studying abroad can apply directly through the International application form.
QUALIFYING
- Applicants applying for UG Engineering admission should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2024, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:
- The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE),New Delhi.
- Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
- High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. (Physics & Mathematics - HL, Chemistry - SL)
- General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
- Regular 'NIOS' board candidates are also eligible for Undergraduate Engineering programmes. Applicants should produce the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining.
- Applicants who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination with grade/CGPA converted to percentage.
- For Indian nationals appearance in VITEEE 2024 is mandatory to be eligible for B. Tech. admission.
- In case VITEEE 2024 gets cancelled due to natural calamities, qualifying criteria may be substituted with higher secondary marks or JEE-24 or a valid SAT. Applicants will be informed with specifics in such case.
AGE LIMIT
- Applicants whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2002 are eligible to apply for Engineering admission 2024.
- The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic.
- Applicants should produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counseling/admission, failing which their candidacy for admission will be disqualified.

Examination Day Instructions
Before entering the Exam Centre
- Try to reach the exam centre one hour prior to the time advised in the admit card.
- Before leaving for the site, please have a hearty breakfast or light lunch depending on the session. Drink plenty of fluids; as in summers dehydration can set in affecting your performance in the exam.
- Have a cookie or a chocolate just before entering the centre; this prevents hypoglycaemia and thus helps you stay alert longer improving your results.
- If it is a busy centre, then don’t wait till last for the entry and security check.
- Centre will not allow you to enter after the stipulated time of closing the doors.
- Admission to the Exam Centre is with the Admit Card; no candidates shall be admitted to the test without the production of the Admit Card at the Test Centre.
- Usually, no bags are allowed.
- No eatables are allowed.
- No communication equipment such as mobile phones/pager / wireless set/scanner/camera or any such electronic/digital gadget etc are allowed in the exam centre; carrying one will lead to disqualification.
After entering the centre
- Once candidates enter the centre, they should locate their designated hall and seat.
- If mentioned, candidates will be hand frisked as well as photographed or video graphed before entering the centre
- After all the formalities, candidates should enter the allotted hall and take the designated seat.
- No candidate shall be allowed to leave the examination hall/room before the expiry of half of the time allotted for the respective paper.
- For Objective Type question papers, rough work is to be done in the space provided for this purpose. No rough work is allowed on the OMR Answer Sheet under any situation.
- Questions have to be answered on the answer sheet only.
- Copying, use of unfair means of any kind, talking, asking questions from other candidates or borrowing of material inside the Test Centre is strictly prohibited.
- The candidates are to return their OMR answer-sheets and the question paper in full to the Centre Superintendent. Tearing or taking away of the question paper is not allowed failing which the candidates shall be disqualified from the entire Entrance Test.
- Misbehaviour of any kind can lead to expulsion of the candidate.
- Caught copying helping in copying will mean cancellation of the answer sheet/cancellation of the candidature.
- Marking the answer sheet or question paper in any way will also lead to cancellation of the exam for that candidate.
