Direct Admission For Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal

Students applying for the admission have to fill up the application form on the official site. A student can submit the application for only once; multiple forms will be rejected. 

Requirements to be readied before you start filling up the Application Form:

• PC or a Laptop with Internet connectivity. 
• Qualification details.
• Functional e - mail Id as all communication are made through email; Parents email id is recommended.
• Mobile number as all information is sent through SMS too. Parents phone number can be used.
• For online payments, usually a valid debit or credit card as well as Net Banking facility is a must.
• Printer is required for keeping hard copies; if there is no printer, one can save the printouts, transfer them on to a pen drive and get it printed from a cyber - cafe.
• It is recommended to download the information Bulletin Brochure and read it carefully so that you understand various requirements to fill up the form.

The Usual Steps in filling up the Online Application Form : 

• Step-1: Students have to register for Online Application Form. A login and Password are created. 
• Step-2: Student has to Complete the Application Form and its various sections. 
• Step-3: Payments have to be made by Debit / Credit Card / Net Banking.

The minimum Academic Qualifications required for admissions required are passed Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in the field of Sciences / Engineering / Management and related Social sciences or equivalent with at least 55% aggregate marks or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7 - point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from a recognized Indian University or Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The relaxation of 5% marks shall be given to candidates belonging to SC / ST / DA category.

For in-service category, Officer from Indian Forest Service, State Forest Services, Group 'A' Officer or equivalent from Government Departments / Public Sector and representatives from NGOs with minimum of three years of experience in the field related to natural resource management can apply.

For open category candidates, written test and an interview shall be conducted. The written test shall have three components namely English proficiency, core concepts of research methods and Natural Resource Management aptitude. The qualifying marks in the written exam is 50%.

Candidates qualifying the written test shall be invited for the interview. Based on the performance in the interview, a merit list of suitable candidates will be released for admission. 

The UGC or CSIR or ICAR NET qualified candidates and candidates with PGDFM from IIFM with a minimum of 3.0 CGPA shall be exempted from written test and shall be directly called for interview.

In-service category candidates are required to send their application through proper channel which will be screened at IIFM using criteria set by the institute to select candidates for the course. The nominated in-service candidates shall be exempted from written test.

Written test / interview will be held on November 23-24, 2020. Exact date and time will be communicated only to the shortlisted candidates. The Written test/interview will be held online.
