B.Com (General) in India

A Bachelor of Commerce or B. Com is an undergraduate degree in commerce and related subjects. In India, the duration of B. Com is 3 years. Candidates can pursue B. Com in regular and distance mode. The level of study of B. Com (Hons) is higher than the regular B. Com. Bachelor of commerce honours includes specialised subjects whereas B. Com. regular course has more general subjects.

B.Com (Honours) in India

B.Com (Hons) is an undergraduate degree designed to inculcate business acumen in students. A student has the option to specialise in a specific subject like Accounting in honours. The cut-off for various universities/colleges is relatively higher for B.Com honours. One can also pursue courses like Chartered Accountancy along with your B.Com (honours.) B.Com Students must have successfully passed 12th Standard/HSC/10+2 (or equivalent Level of Examination) from any recognised Board in India or overseas. Numerous universities prefer candidates with minimum 50% marks for the admission process.
B.Com (Hons) The minimum eligibility is a Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2) qualification with a minimum aggregate score of 45%. The minimum marks may vary. Top colleges have a very high cut-off.

B.Com Usually it is a three-year course, but in some colleges it is of four years duration. In a regular college it has 6 semester, 2 semester in each year.
B.Com (Hons)

Bachelor of commerce honours is for 3 years. In a regular college it has 6 semester, 2 semester in each year. Correspondence B.Com is also for 3 years, without any semester. Exams are conducted at the end of each year.
