AILET 2020 Highlights

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is an examination conducted nationally by National Law University (NLU), Delhi. The exam is conducted once every year. Through this exam, the candidates can get admitted in the 1 year LL.M, 5-year B.A. LL.B and Ph.D. programs in the National Law University all over the country. In this article, we try to cover all the details which a candidate needs for AILET 2020.


To start off let us familiarize ourselves with the speculated timeline which is followed every year and we do not expect the dates of these events to change by a big margin. First of all the notification is expected to be released on the first week of January followed by the initiation of the application form process in the very same week. The last date to submit the application form will be somewhere in the first week of April. The admit cards will be made available by the end of April. The exam will be conducted in the first week of May and the results for B.A. LL.B honors will be out in the last week of May. The admission letters will be issued in the same week as the announcement of the result. The results for LL.M will be announced in the first week of July.


The AILET 2020 application form will be available only via online medium. All candidates should make sure that all their details are filled correctly as there will be no option for changes after the forms are filled. The general candidates will have to pay a sum of Rs. 3050 while the SC/ST categories students need to pay Rs. 1050 as the application fee. The SC/ST candidates under the poverty line will be exempted from the application fee completely.


For the B.A. LL.B. course, the candidate must have passed both 10th and 12th standard from any recognized education board with a minimum mark of 50%. The candidates appearing for their boards can also apply. The candidates applying for the LL.M course must have a graduation degree with a minimum of 55% marks or equal aggregate
