Delhi counselling for MBBS and BDS seats is a bit confusing as its medical and dental colleges are listed under two universities i.e. Delhi University (DU) and Indraprastha University (IPU). Thus one has to apply at two places for MBBS and BDS seats in Delhi, if one is a Delhi Bonafide student. While DU use the MCC for its counselling process, IPU uses it own university for the counselling process. Details of the counselling for this year 2019 are given in the following paragraphs.
Students seeking admissions in MBBS and BDS programmes in medical and dental colleges in Delhi, will get admission on the basis of NEET 2019 examination. In Delhi, there are three MBBS colleges and one BDS colleges under the affiliation of the University of Delhi (DU) and four MBBS colleges and one BDS college under the affiliation of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGIPU) . Candidates can participate in the counseling commenced by these two universities for the admission in MBBS/BDS colleges in Delhi for 2019.
Total Seats
Based on the scores obtained in NEET 2019 exam, students will be granted admission to 341 MBBS and 43 BDS seats offered by medical and dental colleges in IPU MBBS/BDS 2019 and a total of 600 medical and 40 dental seats that are offered by government colleges affiliated to University of Delhi. Out of these total seats. 15% seats will be reserved for candidates shortlisted under All India Quota seats. These AIQ seats will be filled by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) based on the rank obtained in NEET 2019 and 85% seats are reserved under Delhi state quota. One more government college is AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) conducts its own medical entrance examination AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam for getting admission in MBBS/BDS courses under AIIMS.
MBBS/BDS admission under Delhi University
In Delhi, admission and counseling process for filling Undergraduate Medical/dental seats is administered by The Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The aim is to fill the tentative 600 MBBS and 40 BDS seats offered by government colleges affiliated to University of Delhi. The admission to these seats will be based on the NEET 2019 score. Out of these seats, 85% seats are state quota seats and 15% are AIQ seats, all of which will be filled by MCC on the basis of NEET 2019 Score.

Body conducting counselling for DU
• For all 15% AIQ seats and all 85% Delhi quota seats, Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts online counselling on the basis of NEET UG scores to all government medical and dental colleges affiliated to Delhi University.
Eligibility Criteria
• Candidates must have completed the age of 17 years as on or before December 31, 2019, but should not exceed the age of 25 years as on the date of exam, which is May 5, 2019. The relaxation of 5 years will be provided to SC/ST/OBC aspirants for upper age limit.
• A student must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from CBSE/ICSE/JMI individually in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects from institute located in National Capital Territory.
• The minimum qualifying percentage must be secured by aspirants in Class 12 or equivalent exam. General category students must have obtained 50% minimum aggregated marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English. While, candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category, must have obtained 40% minimum aggregated marks in qualifying examination.
• For DU MBBS/BDS 2019 admission, an applicant should be medically fit.
• NEET cutoff 2019 must be secured to qualify the medical entrance examination.
Steps of Counselling and Joining Process for colleges under DU
Summary
The Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the counselling of DU MBBS/BDS 2019.
The application form of DU MBBS 2019 for the registration of online counselling has been released.
The admission committee will conduct two rounds of counselling for admission to around 600 MBBS and 40 BDS seats offered by government colleges affiliated to University of Delhi.
However, if there are vacant seats left after online rounds, a manual mop-up round would also be conducted. For mop-up round, the candidate needs to be physically present at the assigned venue.
On the basis of these choices filled, NEET 2019 rank, reservation criteria and seats available, the DU MBBS admission 2019 will be granted.
Students who will be allotted seats must report at the designated college for document verification and completion of admission process.
Registrations will be open separately for each round, but if the candidate is already registered, they don’t have to register or pay the fee again, but they can participate in choice filling. Meaning they will be able to edit previously entered choices.
Fresh candidates however will have to register and pay the fee before they will be able to participate in choice filling.
Steps explained
1. Registration: To register online, candidate will need valid email id and mobile number. Other details like name, gender, category, state of eligibility, date of birth, etc. will have to be filled while filling application form. Next personal details like communication address, pin number, email id and mobile number will have to be filled. Upon successful registration, a confirmation page will appear with registration number and password that will be send to the registered mobile number.
2. Payment of application fee: After successful registration, candidate has to pay the application fee in online mode through net banking, credit or debit cards.

3. Choice Filling: Candidates who have successfully registered and paid the application fee can participate in the choice filling process. One should enter as many choices, in the order of merit, to increase one’s chances of admission. It is advised that aspirants must edit/delete the choices filled before locking, as no modifications will be allowed thereafter.
4. Seat Allotment: After choice filling, the merit list of DU MBBS 2019 will be prepared according to the choices filled, preferences of colleges as well as courses, reservation criteria, availability of seats in a particular college. The merit list will be available in online mode only, and will not be sent individually to the candidate. DU MBBS 2019 merit list for the first round will be released tentatively in the 4th week of June. The merit list would contain such details like the name of the candidate, roll number, NEET 2019 AIR and category-rank, category, PWD category status, etc.
5. Reporting at the allotted College: Candidates who will be allotted a seat will be asked to report to the allotted college to complete the admission formalities. While reporting to the allotted college, candidates must submit the original copy of the documents.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is a state university, located in Delhi. In the field of medical education, the University offers both MBBS and BDS courses. The University takes admission to MBBS and BDS courses on the basis of marks scored in the NEET Exam. The aim is to fill the tentative 341 MBBS and 43 BDS seats offered by government and private colleges affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). • For all 15% AIQ seats, Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct online counselling on the basis of NEET UG scores to all government medical and dental colleges.
• For all 85% state quota seats, GGSIPU, Delhi organizes offline counselling for selected aspirants for admission to medical and dental courses based on state merit rank.

Summary
In order to get admission to IPU MBBS/BDS admission 2019, aspirants must fill the online application form. The application form of IPU MBBS has been released on March 22, 2019. The eligible students will be required to register for the first and second round of counselling.
Based on the NEET result 2019 details, the authority will release the IPU MBBS merit list 2019 in the online mode.
Only the eligible registered aspirants will be included in the state merit list.
The merit list of IPU MBBS/BDS 2019 will contain the candidate’s name, state merit rank, NEET scores and other details.
According to the state merit rank, the eligible candidates will be called for IPU MBBS counselling 2019. During the seat allotment process, candidates must provide their choice of colleges and course.
On the basis of candidate’s IPU MBBS merit rank, choices filled, seats availability and reservation criteria, the admission to IPU MBBS will be granted.
The steps included filling the IPU MBBS application form 2019 is mentioned below:
• Online Registration: While filling the IPU MBBS 2019 admission form, students have to register themselves by entering the basic personal details such as exam category, name, date of birth, gender, mobile number, email ID and other asked information. Also, the required documents should also be uploaded, as per the specifications.
• Filling of academic details: After the completion of the IPU MBBS registration 2019 process, the academic details such as Class 10th and 12th marks, percentage, details of NEET 2019 etc. must be submitted.
Once all the details are filled, aspirants will need to accept the declaration page by clicking on ‘I Agree’ button.
• Issue of login credentials and Course Selection: Candidates will receive the login ID and password after successful completion of application form. Candidates need to login with their login credentials and will need to select the course (MBBS/BDS) to apply for IPU MBBS/BDS admission 2019. Here, the NEET roll number must be entered.
• Payment of application fee: Payment fee of Rs 1000 can be paid in online mode using credit/debit cards or net banking.
After the submission of application form of IPU MBBS/BDS 2019, Candidates must verify the details and download the confirmation page. They must take at least two to three printouts of confirmation page for future use.
• GGSIPU, Delhi will release the merit list on the basis of score obtained in NEET 2019 for both rounds of counselling. Aspirants included in the IPU MBBS/BDS merit list 2019 will be called for counselling process. Merit list will include the name of aspirants, NEET UG 2019 rank, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, date of birth, category and other details.
• After the release of merit list, the eligible aspirants must report at counselling process conducted by GGSIPU, Delhi. The authority will organise two rounds of counselling of in offline mode. It is mandatory to report at the counselling venue as per the time and date specified by the authority.
• The first round of IPU MBBS/BDS counselling 2019 will commence from first week of July 2019.
• At the time of counselling, the admission committee will provide the list of colleges which can be allotted based on the rank mentioned in IPU MBBS merit list 2019. Aspirants will be required to choose a college and course from the list provided, in which they wish to get admission.
• On the basis of IPU MBBS state merit rank, preferences of colleges as well as courses, availability of seats and reservation criteria, the IPU MBBS admission 2019 is granted.
• The counselling of IPU MBBS 2019 will be conducted separately for various categories.
• After the conclusion of NEET IPU MBBS 2019 counselling, the shortlisted candidates will be required to report at the allotted colleges for completion of admission procedure.
• The list of documents should also be carried at respective colleges for verification.
