JEE Main 2020 New Changes Introduced

The Joint Entrance Exams as arranged and conducted by the NTA is to see some major changes in the JEE Mains of 2020. The changes have been made in the various aspects such as the structure of the paper, the pattern of questions and also the marking systems. Let us take a closer look at the changes in the JEE Exam 2020.

  • The JEE Exams 2020 will conduct the BE/B. Tech, Planning courses and the B. Arch separately. The candidates can appear for either one or all the different courses.
  • The amount of the application fee has been increased in 2020 JEE Mains. Payments can be made online as well.
  • There will be changes in the exam patterns. Now the papers will have twenty five questions which were thirty questions in the earlier years. The MCQ in the paper will have numerical values as their answers.
  • In 2020 JEE Mains the B. Plan paper pattern has been additionally introduced.
  • The NTA who has been organizing the JEE exams since 2019 will continue to do so in 2020. However from 2020 the exams will be conducted twice a year, once in January and once in April.
  • Age limit for the exam has been lifted and now candidates of any age can apply for the exam.
  • The Adhaar Card is no longer mandatory for the candidates planning to sit of the JEE entrance exams.
  • The top 2,45,000 candidates in the list of the qualified students can appear for the JEE advanced.
