List Of Courses To Join After 12th To Become Choreographer - Colleges, Admission Processes And Career Prospects

 

Dance is a creative art form that includes body movements and emotions. There are different professions that students can opt for after obtaining the required knowledge. Dance and choreography training programs are offered under the arts and humanities stream. The courses related to Dance and Choreography will teach the basics of dance practice, choreography, dance therapy, movements, performance techniques, etc.

Dance and Choreography Courses after 12th.

·     Informal Training Programs

Many small dance training institutes or renowned dancers offer informal dance training sessions. Course term varies from 1 month to 6 months. Anybody can join these sessions as there is no minimum eligibility required for these sessions.

·     Certificate Training Programs 

These are short courses under which students are provided with a certificate after completing the course. The span remains 3 to 6 months. These certificates will be further helpful while applying for various jobs.

·     Diploma Courses

This program lasts for 6 to 12 months and includes all the basic training in dance and choreography. Successful candidates will get a certificate of Diploma after the completion of the course.

·     BA Courses

Bachelor of Arts is a degree course for a duration of 3 years. Students can enroll in this program only after completing the 12th standard. Some of these courses are:

a) BA in Arts and Dance

b) BA in Dance

c) BA (Specific Dance Form)

·     BPA Courses 

BPA stands for Bachelor of Performing Arts. This course deals with performing arts, and dance is one of them. Candidates who have passed the 12th class are only qualified to enroll in this 3 years long program. Some of the notable BPA dance and choreography courses are:

a) BPA in Dance and Arts 

b) BPA in Specific form of dance (example Kathak, or Bharatnatyam)
