CAT 2026 Registration Starts on 3 August; Last Date to Apply is 15 September

The online application process for the Common Admission Test (CAT 2026) has commenced today, 3 August. Any student wishing to gain admission to an MBA/Postgraduate Programme or the Fellow and Doctoral Programmes at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) can complete the application process to sit for this examination. Registration (CAT 2026 Registration) can be completed by visiting the official website, iimcat.ac.in. Please note that the application deadline is set for 15 September 2026.

CAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates from the General, EWS and NC-OBC categories must have passed their graduation with 50 per cent marks. SC/ST/PwBD candidates must have passed their undergraduate degree with 45 per cent marks. They must have completed a professional degree (CA/ CS/ ICWA (CMA)/ Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI)) with the required percentage. Candidates in their final year of a bachelor's degree are also eligible to apply.

Step-by-Step CAT 2026 Registration Process

To fill in the CAT application form, first visit the official website, iimcat.ac.in.
On the home page, you will need to click on the registration link.
You will need to register by filling in the required information.
After this, you must complete the form by filling in the remaining details.
Now, you must pay the prescribed fee according to your category.
Submit the form, take a printout, and keep it safe.

Application Fee
To apply for the CAT exam, candidates from all other categories must pay an examination fee of Rs. 2700. The application fee for SC/ST candidates is set at Rs. 1350. The fee can be paid online.
