Drone Development Center At IIT, Hyderabad

To pace up the process of drone development of India and enhancing self-reliance capability, Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad has signed a pact with the Japan-based Terra Drone Corporation, Terra Drone India. Under this pact, IIT Hyderabad will open Centre for Excellence for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). Terra Drone Corporation is having a presence in more than 20 countries and is the largest solution provider in the field of industrial drone solutions. The company is the front runner in several innovations in the aviation industry like promoting the use of AI in drones and also providing advisory services to the ongoing flying car project in Japan. "The UAV ecosystem in India is rapidly evolving and drones are set to become an integral part of future working environments in several industries," as quoted by Prateek Srivastava, CEO, Terra Drone India."As the world's fastest-growing major economy, the potential for the commercial drone market in India is huge," stated Toru Tokushige, CEO, Terra Drone Corporation.
