UCEED-CEED 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has announced the registration dates for its undergraduate and postgraduate design entrance examinations, the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED 2026) and the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED 2026). The application process will begin on October 1, 2025. Candidates will be able to apply online through the official websites, uceed.iitb.ac.in and ceed.iitb.ac.in.
For which programs are the exams conducted?
IIT Bombay conducts these exams annually to assess candidates' design abilities and aptitude. Of these, UCEED is for admission to Bachelor of Design (BDes) programs, while CEED is for Master of Design (MDes) and PhD programs.

UCED and CEED exams are accepted by several participating institutes, including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, IIITDM Jabalpur, and IIT Indore.
In addition, the results are also shared with over 30 other institutes, known as result-sharing institutes, which use these scores for selection or reference, but their admission criteria may differ.
Registration Deadline
According to the official notice, the registration portal will be activated at midnight on October 1, 2025, and the last date for applying without late fees is October 31, 2025. Candidates who are unable to apply within this period can register until November 18, 2025, with an additional late fee of ₹500.

Exam Date and Time
Both the UCEED and CEED exams will be held in a single shift on January 18, 2026. The exam timings are from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
