Direct Admission For Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology

Prospectus containing application form and other details will be on the payment of Rs.250/- at the Institute counter and through book post by sending M.O./ Bank Draft of Rs.300/- in the name of Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management payable at Chandigarh stating full address in capital letters on the counterfoil/back. The schedule for availability of prospectus, last date for submission of form and counseling dates will be notified through the admission notice. Candidate must attach a Demand Draft of Rs.250/- alongwith the downloaded form from the Website, failing which their candidature will not be considered.

Candidates must attach the self attested copies of the following documents alongwith the application form. 

• Date of Birth Certificate
• Certificate of good health from a Registered Medical Practitioner as per form attached.
• Certificate(s) of educational qualifications, including Detail Marks Card.
• Certificate in support of belonging to a Scheduled caste/ Tribe/PH/EWS to be issued by not below the rank of Tehsildar as per guidelines issued by Government. 
• Character certificate from the head of the Institution last attended if the gap period is more than a year, or from the gazette Officer of the State or Central Govt. 
• passport size photographs (similar to the one pasted on the application form for admission).
• Declaration Certificate on prescribed format. 
• Identification Certificate on prescribed format.
• Certificate for handicap as per government norms.

Criteria for Admission in Diploma Programmes

• Qualification : 12th with English (Pass)
• Criteria for Admission :  Merit of 12th examination marks
• Age Limit :  upto 25 years for general category and   28 years for SC / ST Category as on 1st July

Merit List 

The merit list on basis of 12th examination marks will be placed on the Institute’s notice board and website as per schedule notified in the admission notice. 

Counselling

The schedule for conducting Counseling of the candidates for allocation of seats in various courses by the committee on the basis of merit list will be notified in the admission notice. Candidates must bring all original certificates/ documents at the time of counseling for verification.
