Applications are invited for admission to Ph.D. program in following disciplines and areas of research in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences for the semester commencing in February, 2020:

Candidates may apply under one of following categories:

• Full time research scholar position
• Eligibility for application:
• Post-Graduate degree in relevant field with minimum 55%; in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH it is relaxed up to 5%.
• Must have qualified UGC–JRF/NET or Equivalent examination.

• Eligibility for application: Two years of work experience, and PostGraduate degree in relevant field with minimum 55%; in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH it is relaxed upto 5%. Approval of potential guide is mandatory without which application will be rejected.

• Discuss your research proposal with potential guide(s) and seek his/her approval for application.
• After you have approval of faculty member, register and fill up an online application form on Offical website:

• Candidates are required to produce original testimonials/certificates at the time of interview. 
• Part time applicants are required to furnish a ‘No Objection Certificate’ issued by their employer at the time of interview. 
• Travel expenses for attending the interview will be reimbursed to selected candidates(for shortest route by ordinary second sleeper class train/ordinary bus against original receipts/bills). 
• If a candidate wishes to apply for more than one stream, he/she needs to apply separately. 
• In case of two applications by same candidate for same research area, latest application will be considered. 
• Applications for areas not invited by institute or not matching interest areas of potential guide may be rejected.
