Eligibility
All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination from a board recognized or established by Central/State Government through legislation with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subject along with one of the Mathematics/Biology shall eligible to apply. OR All those candidates who have passed Diploma Pharmacy from an Institute affiliated to Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training / Punjabi University, Patiala or any other University or any State Board of Technical Education provided that the diploma or the Institute duly approved by the PCI / AICTE.

Eligibility
(i) All those candidates who have passed the Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution affiliated to the Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training or any other recognized University or any other recognized State Board of Technical Education shall be eligible to apply. Further, the diploma in Pharmacy and the Institute where the candidate has studied must be duly approved by the pharmacy Council of India / AICTE. Also the Candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the above mentioned qualifying Examination. (ii) Students directly admitted to the Pharmacy 2nd year have to pass those subjects of Pharmacy 1st year which have not been covered under D. Pharmacy.

1. A pass in Diploma course in Pharmacy from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948. 2. A registered pharmacist 3. A minimum of four years of pharmacy practice experience in a community or hospital pharmacy – # A certificate from competent authority stating that the candidate is endorsed as registered pharmacist in the drug license of a pharmacy as proof of practice experience in case of community pharmacist # A certificate from the Principal/Medical Superintendent/competent person of the Hospital/Health Unit stating that the candidate is working as a pharmacist will be accepted as proof of practice experience in case of hospital pharmacist

Eligibility
All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects and either Mathematics or Biology from recognized Board / University / Council or 10+2 with vocational course in Medical Laboratory Science / Medical Laboratory Technology with atleast 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate.

Pharmacy with at least 55% (50% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) marks in aggregate and with valid GPAT score shall be eligible to apply for Master’s programme in Pharmacy (M. Pharma) Course. In case seats haven’t been filled under respective categories, admission shall be considered on the basis of Inter-se-merit in the qualifying examination.

All those candidates who have passed B.Sc. (Medical/Non-Medical) from a University recognized by UGC with Chemistry as one of the subject OR B. Pharmacy.

Eligibility
Candidates for admission to the Ph.D programme shall have a Master's degree in the relevant/allied subject or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, shall be allowed for those belonging to SC / ST / OBC (non-creamy layer) / Differently- abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master's degree prior to 19th September, 1991. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark procedures. Candidates, who have already cleared UGC / CSIR / SLET / GATE/ GPAT/ Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship awardees / teacher-fellowship holders / INSPIRE / or candidates who are awarded Fellowships directly or by other funding agencies (ICAR/ICHR/ICMR/DBT/DST), M.Phil candidates (who have admitted through entrance test and completed M.Phil degree in regular mode) for the purpose of pursuing PhD will be exempted from entrance test. No Candidate shall be eligible to register for the Ph.D. programme if he / she is already registered for any full time programme of study in any University / Institution.

Basis of Admission:

(a) The admission in Ph. D programme will be done through entrance test and interview. The admission for the session June/July will be done on the basis of entrance test and interview. Test exempted candidates i.e UGC/CSIR Exam/SLET/GATE/GPAT Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship awardees/ teacherfellowship holders/INSPIRE/ or candidates who are awarded Fellowships directly or by other funding agencies (ICAR/ICHR/ICMR/DBT/DST) may also apply for admission in June/July session. Only valid score card of all exempted categories will be considered for admission.

(b) The admission in the session Dec/Jan will be done on the basis of interview only. In this session only test exempted candidates i.e UGC/CSIR Exam/SLET/GATE/ GPAT/ Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship awardees/ teacherfellowship holders/INSPIRE/ or candidates who are awarded Fellowships directly or by other funding agencies (ICAR/ICHR/ICMR/DBT/DST), may also apply for admission. Only valid score card of all exempted categories will be considered for admission. The exact date of the examination will be notified through IKG PTU‘s website and advertisement in at least two (2) national newspapers, out of which at least one (1) shall be in the regional language.

(c) The number of seats for admission, subject / discipline-wise distribution will be displayed on University website / advertisement.

(d) An Entrance Test shall be qualified with qualifying marks as 50%. The question paper will be objective type and of 120 minutes duration. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific. The merit list of the candidate belonging to Scheduled caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Physically handicapped (PH) / Visually Handicapped (VH) shall be prepared separately. The qualifying marks for reserved categories shall be 45% in entrance.

(e) For entrance test the GATE / GPAT syllabus will be followed.

Eligibility
The minimum educational qualification for admission to the diploma course in Pharmacy course will be pass in any of the following examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics Intermediate examination in Science. The first year of the three year degree course in science. 10+2 examination (academic stream) in science. Pre-degree examination Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.
