Admission Registration

  • The respective state governments will invite applications for admission to first  year of Diploma in Handloom & Textile Technology either. through press or other Media publicity in the prescribed application form (copy enclosed.) latest by 15th May 2020. 
  • A copy of the advertisement shall be sent to this office immediately after it's publication. 
  • The filled-in applications should be received by your office latest by 15th June 2020.

  • Educational qualifications:
    • To be eligible for admission to first year of Diploma Course in Handlooms and Textile Technology, the candidate should have passed 10th standard or equivalent examination with English as a subject of study. 
  • Age limit:
    • The age limit for admission to first year of Diploma Course in Handlooms and Textile Technology for all the categories except SC / ST category candidates should be between 15-23 years and for SC / ST candidates it should be between 15 - 25 year as  on 01-July-2020 of the admission year. 

Preparation of merit list

  • Merit List of all the eligible candidates will be prepared by the Selection  Committee comprising Director of Handlooms Textiles/Director of Industries & Director, IIHT, Jodhpur or his representative subject to satisfy the qualifying standard and other eligibility conditions and depending upon the State reservation policy. A common merit list of all eligible candidates irrespective of categories will be re ared & shall be submitted to reach this office latest by 20th June, for issue of offer of counseling to the eligible candidates. 
  • Aggregate of marks obtained in class 10th or equivalent qualifying examination shall be basis for the purpose of determining the merit. State Government should decide and mention the actual no. of seats to be reserved for various categories as per their prevailing reservation policy and for weavers community out of total seats allotted to the state. 
  • In the event of two candidates securing identical marks in aggregate then the candidate who had secured more marks in the Science subject will stand higher in the merit.
