Eligibility
Only Female Candidates are eligible. Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the B.Sc., Degree course in Nursing (BASIC) should have passed the qualifying examination (Academic stream) after period of 12 years of study with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany and Zoology. Every Candidate before admission to the course shall submit to the Principal of the institution a certificate of medical fitness from an authorized medical officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course. The minimum education requirements shall be passing of Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 Years Course) (Or) Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) (Or) Pre-degree Examinations (10+2) (Or) An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized Board or University with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with Minimum 40% aggregate marks (PCBE); “Individual Pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology (both Theory and Practical) and English with a minimum of 40% marks in each of above subject and with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English”. As recommended by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi the Eligibility Criteria for admission to B.Sc.(N), G.N.M. by giving 5% relaxation to SC/ST/OBC Students (40%) For SC/ST candidates – the minimum percentage of marks is 35%. Candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or would complete the said age on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the first year Nursing course.

Eligibility
The Candidate should have Passed the qualification of B.Sc. Nursing degree of this University or any other University accepted as equivalent there to. Should have registered with the State Registration Council of Nursing and Mid-Wifery. Should have one year of experience in teaching hospital or in a college (or) in a School or Nursing (or) in a Community Health Programme after registering in the State Nursing Council. Minimum One year of work experience prior to or after Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. In case of male candidates they should have passed any other course recommended by the Indian Nursing Council in place of Mid-wifery. Those who have studied Midwifery are eligible for admission to Branch III and IV. Every candidate before admission to the course shall submit to the Principal of the Institution a certificate of medical fitness from an authorized medical officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course and does not suffer from any disability.

Eligibility
The Candidate must have completed M.Sc(N) with 65% and must have a minimum of 5 yrs PG teaching experience. The Candidate must be employed in the Affiliated institute of The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. Site maintained by OACN
