Students applying for the admissions have to fill up the application form on the official site. A student can submit the application for only once; multiple forms will be rejected. 

Requirements to be readied before you start filling up the Application Form :

• PC or a Laptop with Internet connectivity 
• Qualification details
• Scanned copy of passport photograph in JPG or JPEG format ((not older than 03 weeks) of 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm of file size upto 1 MB) Scanned copy of signature in JPG or JPEG format (3.5 cmx 1.5 cm of file size ranging upto 1 MB)
• Functional e-mail Id as all communication are made through email; Parents email id is recommended.
• Mobile number as all information is sent through SMS too. Parents phone number can be used.
• For online payments, Payment shall have to be made on SBI e-collect service. A transaction Reference number generated by SBI e-collect portal after successful payment shall be available with the candidate for using it for online application. First accept the T&Cs on SBI e-collect portal and then following information may be used to make payment of application fee to NPTI on SBI e-collect portal.
• Printer is required for keeping hard copies; if there is no printer, one can save the printouts, transfer them on to a pen drive and get it printed from a cyber-café.
• It is recommended to download the information Bulletin Brochure and read it carefully so that you understand various requirements to fill up the form.

The Usual Steps in filling up the Online Application Form: 

• Step-1: Students have register for Online Application Form. A login and Password are created. 
• Step-2: Student has to Complete the Application Form and its various sections 
• Step-3: Required documents in the form of Scanned Images of Candidate’s Photograph, Candidate’s Signature. 
• Step-4: Payment shall have to be made on SBI e-collect service. 

Important Dates

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION Candidates can apply on the basis of aggregate percentage marks obtained till 7th semester in the qualifying degree with the condition that they will meet the minimum 60 % aggregate marks criteria on completion of the degree.

A common merit list of eligible candidates will be prepared on the basis of the % marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree and interview conducted by  National Power Training Institute. 90% and 10% weightage will be given to marks obtained in degree and interview. Interview will be conducted through online platforms. The shortlisted candidates will be offered admission through counseling.
