Eligibility
1. Candidate belonging to all categories for admission to the BSc Degree course in Nursing (Basic) should have passed the qualifying examinations (Academic Stream) with the following subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany and Zoology. 2. Every candidate before admission to the course shall submit to the Principal of the institution a certificate of medical fitness from an authorized medical officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course. 3. The minimum educational requirements shall be passed of Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years course) (or) Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2), pre-degree Examinations (10+2) (or) An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized Board or University with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English with minimum 40% aggregate marks (PCBF): for SCST candidates- the minimum percentage percentage of marks is 35%. 4. A candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the BSc(N) degree course.

Eligibility
1. Should have qualified in Diploma in Nursing and be a registered Nurse and mid-wife in the Tamilnadu Nursing council or any other state Nursing council accepted by the authority of the University. 2.Should have put in minimum of 1 year experience after registration in any teaching institution/hospital or as a whole time public Health Nurse. 3. If the registration certificate cannot be obtained immediately, the original evidence for registration in the form of receipt or any other authenticated document from the office of the state Nursing Council will be accepted in lieu of the Registration Certificate. 4.A male nurse candidate registered with State Nurses Registration Council shall produce evidence of having been trained in any one of the requisite training approved by the Indian Nursing Council for duration of 6 months is lieu of mid-wifery. 5.Physical fitness certificate: every candidate before admission to the course shall submit to the Principal of the Institution a certificate of medical fitness from an authorized medical officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course and does not suffer from any disability or contagious diseasae.
