Eligibility
Candidates should be Graduates in a school subject from a recognized university. Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree(General) / or in the Master's Degree in School subjects are eligible to apply. Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with Science and/or Mathematics, with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are also eligible for admission. Such candidates are required to enter the marks of B.E/ B. Tech. in the row of Honours Degree. M.E. / M. Tech result (if any) will be entered in the Master's Degree row. Honours Graduates in school subject should enter the Honours marks only in the row of Bachelor's degree (Honours). In case of General Graduates, the total marks obtained in general subjects should be entered in the row of Bachelor's degree (General). For candidates with less than 50% marks in the honours degree, the total marks of pass and Honours subjects will be considered. If it becomes 50% or more, that score will be entered in Graduation (General) row. For fresh candidates, merit list will be prepared separately for each school subject based on scoring.For Deputed Candidates, merit list will be prepared separately for each school subject based on length of service.

Eligibility
Should be an Indian citizen. Should pass the H.S (+2) Examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/Council/University with at least 50% marks in the aggregate (where aggregate is given)/aggregate of the best five (where no aggregate is mentioned). There is, however, a relaxation of 5% marks for the applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PH/Ex-Serviceman category. Where there is no aggregate marks, 50% / 45% of the total of the best five scores excluding EVS (where it is not an elective subject) for eligibility will be counted. Note : The entry qualifications of the applicants belonging Ex-Serviceman shall be determined in terms of the memo of the School Education Department no. 598-SE(EE)/PTTI-16/17 dated 08.09.2017 read with the clarification of MHRD memo no. F.No. 1-22/2012-EE-4(P) dated 23.08.2017, if required i.e. if the applicant does not have 50%/45% marks in H.S. (+2) examination. Should not be above 35 years of age (40 years of age for SC/ST/PH and 38 years for OBC-A & OBC-B) as on 01.07.2019. Note 1: This upper age limit is not applicable for the in-service teachers, appointed before 03.09.2001. Note 2: Ex-Serviceman-candidates shall get the benefit of age relaxation as per rules. Note 3: Applicants who possess SC/ST/OBC-A and OBC-B category certificates issued by the competent authority of other states, shall be given the benefits/concession at par with General (Un-reserved) category candidates.
