Master in Craft Management and Entrepreneurship

This is a professional postgraduate programme to enhance ones career prospects to work as trained craft entrepreneurs, managers, merchandisers and trainers, in private as well as government sectors. Christened as Masters in Craft Management and Entrepreneurship (MCME), this professional program was conceptualised by the Craft Development Institute (CDI) Srinagar and is recognised by the University of Kashmir. Graduates undertaking this program are taughtthe competence in terms of ideas, knowledge, skills and exposure to stand on their own and lead the development of handicrafts sector in a distinctive manner. The course also includes learning the fundamental aspects of marketing based requirements of the craft industry. This program is drawn equally from the three main disciplines of design, technology and management, with an overall emphasis on crafts.
