Many well-known institutions run the M.Tech programme in part-time or distance mode also. Admissions into M.Tech programme is purely done through the national level or state level entrance exam. Candidates have to appear in the entrance exam Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) that is the All India level examination to get admission in IITs.

About M.Tech. - Ph.D. (Civil Engg.) (Integrated)

The integrated program of MTech and PHD is the way to technical research. The duration of M.Tech course work will be of 2 years divided into 4 semesters. After successful completion of the M. Tech course a student can opt for registration for Ph.D (Tech.) programme, subjected to a selection procedure and minimum cut-off grade. Selection to this programme is through an entrance exam. The admissions can be in various specializations of respective branches such as computer networking and communications, embedded systems etc.

About B.Tech. - MBA (Civil Engg.) (Lateral Entry)

B. Tech + MBA (Integrated) is a five-year programme that focuses on the significant aspects of engineering and business. Under this programme, the students acquire both technical knowledge and managerial skills that are vital for a successful career. While the engineering perspective is covered by topics from specific disciplines including Computer Science, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, etc., the management perspective will be enhanced with exposure to subjects like Marketing, General Management, Finance, Human Resources, International Business, Production, Operations etc. Upon completion, graduates of this programme can find various job opportunities in both technical and managerial roles.

About B.Tech. - M.Tech. (Civil Engg.) (Lateral Entry)

B. Tech + M. Tech (Integrated) is a five-year research-oriented programme and the syllabus of this programme covers important subjects (of respective branches) designed for B.Tech. as well as M.Tech. It trains students’ in advanced areas, core subjects and specialised topics in the emerging technology fronts. The programme is structured to meet the demand for engineers skilled in various disciplines combining aspects from traditional engineering studies. B. Tech + M. Tech (Integrated) programme is designed to help students become industry-ready.
