Common Management Admission Test 2021 or CMAT 2021 is the entrance examination for admission to MBA and PGDM. CMAT 2021 is conducted by National Testing Agency.

CMAT for the year 2021 has been announced by National Testing Agency and will be held on 31/03/2021. The application forms will be available from 23/12/2020 till 01/03/2021. The exam is in online mode. The duration of the exam will be 240 minutes. It is being conducted in English language. Admit card will be available from 24/03/2021. Result is expected to be announced on 09/04/2021.

The minimum Academic Qualifications required for CMAT 2021 required are passed Bachelor’s degree whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for academic year 2021 - 22 can also apply.

    Timing of the Examination:  

    09:00 AM to 12:00 PM

    03.00 PM to 6.00 PM

    ALLOTMENT OF TEST CITY 
    • The City for examination will be chosen by the applicants after submission of examination fees on first  come- first serve basis. However, before submitting the fee, candidate can check the availability of the seat. It may be noted that if the last few seats are available in a city, these may get filled by the time of completing the payment formalities. 
    • The applicants can choose any available city which will be immediately allotted to the applicant. Please  note that this will be active only after payment of fees. 
    • There will be a drop down list of States then choose the city where the applicant wishes to give the  examination in online computer based test mode. 
    • The city of examination once chosen and allotted cannot be changed and any request in this regard will  not be entertained. 
    • NTA will allocate the examination centre in the chosen city, which will be displayed in the admit card.
    • NTA may change the chosen city and/or the allocated centre for logistic and administrative reasons.

    Application Form Filling Instructions

    Students applying for the CMAT 2021 have to fill up the application form on the official site.  A student can submit the application only once multiple forms will be rejected. 

    Requirements to be readied before you start filling up the Application Form of CMAT 2021:

    • PC or a Laptop with Internet connectivity. 
    • Qualification details.
    • The particulars of a valid Government ID proof.
    • Bank account details for payment of fee.
    • Scanned copy of passport photograph in JPG or JPEG format (size between 10 kb–200 kb).
    • Scanned copy of signature in JPG or JPEG format (size between 4 kb–30 kb).
    • Functional e - mail Id as all communication are made through email; Parents email id is recommended.
    • Mobile number as all information is sent through SMS too. Parents phone number can be used.
    • For online payments, through SBI / HDFC Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking and Paytm Payment Modes Service is a must.
    • Printer is required for keeping hard copies; if there is no printer, one can save the printouts, transfer them on to a pen drive and get it printed from a cyber - cafe.
    • It is recommended to download the information Bulletin Brochure and read it carefully so that you understand various requirements to fill up the form.

    The Usual Steps in filling up the Online Application Form of the CMAT 2021: 

    • Step-1: Students have to register for Online Application Form. A login and Password are created. 
    • Step-2: Student has to Complete the Application Form and its various sections. 
    • Step-3: Required documents in the form of Scanned Images of Candidate’s Photograph, Candidate’s Signature and Left Thumb Impression. 
    • Step-4: Payments have to be made by through SBI / HDFC Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking and Paytm Payment Modes.

    The final application form should be printed and a copy kept with you.

    The City of Examination Centres where the test shall be conducted are given at Annexure-IV. It is mandatory for candidates to select four cities of their choice while filling Online Application Form of CMAT 2021. Effort will be made to allot Centre of Examination to the candidates in order of the City Choice opted by them in their Application Form. However, due to logistic and administrative reasons, a different city of nearby area may be allotted.

    Examination Day Instructions

    Before entering the Exam Centre

    • Try to reach the exam centre one hour prior to the time advised in the admit card. 
    • Before leaving for the site, please have a hearty breakfast or light lunch depending on the session. Drink plenty of fluids; as in summers dehydration can set in affecting your performance in the exam.
    • Have a cookie or a chocolate just before entering the centre; this prevents hypoglycaemia and thus helps you stay alert longer improving your results.
    • If it is a busy centre, then don’t wait till last for the entry and security check.
    • Centre will not allow you to enter after the stipulated time of closing the doors.
    • Admission to the Exam Centre is with the Admit Card; no candidates shall be admitted to the test without the production of the Admit Card at the Test Centre.
    • Usually no bags are allowed.
    • No eatables are allowed.
    • No communication equipment such as mobile phones / pager / wireless set / scanner / camera or any such electronic / digital gadget etc are allowed in the exam centre; carrying one will lead to disqualification.

    After entering the centre 

    • Once candidates enter the centre, they should locate their designated hall and seat. 
    • If mentioned, candidates will be hand frisked as well as photographed or video graphed before entering the centre
    • After all the formalities, candidates should enter the allotted hall and take the designated seat.
    • No candidate shall be allowed to leave the examination hall / room before the expiry of half of the time allotted for the respective paper.
    • For Objective Type question papers, rough work is to be done in the space provided for this purpose. No rough work is allowed on the OMR Answer Sheet under any situation.
    • Copying, use of unfair means of any kind, talking, asking questions from other candidates or borrowing of material inside the Test Centre is strictly prohibited. 
    • Misbehaviour of any kind can lead to expulsion of the candidate.
    • Caught copying helping in copying will mean cancellation of the answer sheet / cancellation of the candidature.

    CMAT 2021 Challenge/Corrections

    Methodology for challenge

    The NTA will display Provisional Answer Key of the questions on the NTA website, with a Public Notice issued to this effect on the said website, to provide an opportunity to the candidates to challenge the Provisional Answer Keys with a non-refundable online payment of Rs. 1000/- per question challenged as processing charges. The provisional Answer Keys are likely to be displayed for two to three days.

    • The result will be compiled based on Final Answer Keys. No grievance with regard to Answer Key(s) after Declaration of Result of CMAT 2021 will be entertained. The raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for computation of the Result of CMAT 2021. No Score Card will be dispatched to the candidates and the candidates are advised to download their Score Cards from the official website.
    • There is no provision for rechecking / re - evaluation / re - totaling of the result / score and no query in this regard will be entertained.

    Rules for tie-breaking: -

    • A National Merit Ranking will be arrived based on the Score secured against Total Score. In case scores are same for more than one candidate, the ranking will be done on sectional scores considered in the order of: - Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness. 
    • Student having same Score shall be listed in a chronological (ascending) order as per their date of birth. 
    • Candidates having same score would be given the same Merit, and the Merit number would be increased by the same number i.e. if there are two candidates at Merit 2, Merit 3 would not be awarded to the next candidate but Merit 4 would be given. 

    Display of Provisional Answer Keys and Question Paper

    • If the candidates are not satisfied with the answer key, may challenge the same by paying a fee of Rs. 1000/- per question challenged as a non - refundable processing fee. The facility are available from   April 3, 2021 to April 5, 2021 ( upto 05:00 PM). 
    • The payment of the processing fee may be made through, Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / Paytm upto April 5, 2021 (upto 11:50 PM). Without reciept of processing fee no candidate can challenge.
