IERT Entrance Examination 2020 Notification, Exam Dates, Admit Card, Exam Pattern, Counselling

Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology Entrance Examination 2020 or IERT Entrance Examination 2020 is the entrance examination for admission to Dip. (Plastic Technology), Dip. (Electrical Engg.), Dip. (Electronics Engg.), Dip. (Instrumentation and Control Engg.), Dip. (Civil Engg.) and other courses.

The application forms will be available from 11/02/2020 till 12/06/2020. The exam is in written mode. The duration of the exam will be 180 minutes. It is being conducted in English and Hindi languages. The result date will be announced later.

Candidate should have passed High School (10th class) examination with Science & Math conducted by Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad U.P. or any other equivalent examination of Central Board (CBSE or ICSE) or any other State Board.Candidate appearing in the above Examination is also eligible, subject to the condition they will have to produce their pass Mark Sheet & Certificate of High School at the time of counselling. There is no any upper age limit but candidate must be a minimum of 14 years old on 1st July 2020. There is no separate quota for candidates of other states. However, they will be given admission in case of non-availability of students from U.P. as per provision laid down by U.P. Govt

One & Half Year (3 Semester) Post
Diploma in Computer Application
Diploma in any branch of Engineering/ Technology or graduate in any discipline with Physics and Math Subjects at Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent. The appearing candidates at above mentioned exam are also eligible for entrance examination but they will have to produce pass mark sheet and certificate of above exam at the time of counselling.

General Instructions for filling up the Application Form

Students applying for the IERT Entrance Examination 2020 has to fill up the application form on the official site.

A student can submit the application only once; multiple forms will be rejected.

Requirements to be readied before you start filling up the Application Form of IERT Entrance Examination 2020

  • PC or a Laptop with Internet connectivity
  • Qualification details
  • Scanned copy of passport photograph in JPG format only (size Maximum 50KB) Scanned copy of signature in JPG format only (Maximum 20KB.)
  • Functional e-mail Id as all communication are made through email; Parents' email id is recommended.
  • Mobile number as all information is sent through SMS too. Parents' phone numbers can be used.
  • For online payments, a valid Netbanking/Debit Card/ Credit Card is a must.
  • Printer is required for keeping hard copies; if there is no printer, one can save the printouts, transfer them on to a pen drive and get it printed from a cyber-café.
  • It is recommended to download the information Bulletin Brochure and read it carefully so that you understand various requirements to fill up the form

Candidates are not allowed to make any corrections at a later stage after submission of an application

Step-1: Students have registered for the Online Application Form. Login and password are created.

Step-2: Student has to complete the Application Form and its various sections

Step-3: Required documents in the form of Scanned Images

Examination Day Instructions

General information

Before entering the Exam Centre

1. Try to reach the exam centre one hour prior to the time advised in the admit card.

2. Before leaving for the site, please have a hearty breakfast or light lunch depending on the session. Drink plenty of fluids; as in summers dehydration can set in affecting your performance in the exam.

3. Have a cookie or a chocolate just before entering the centre; this prevents hypoglycemia and thus helps you stay alert longer improving your results.

4. If it is a busy centre, then don’t wait till last for the entry and security check.

5. Centre will not allow you to enter after the stipulated time of closing the doors.

6. Admission to the Exam Centre is with the Admit Card; no candidates shall be admitted to the test without the production of the Admit Card at the Test Centre.

7. Usually no bags are allowed.

8. No eatables are allowed.

9. No communication equipment such as mobile phones / pager/ wireless set, scanner, camera or any such electronic / digital gadget etc are allowed in the exam centre; carrying one will lead to disqualification.

After entering the centre

  • Once candidates enter the centre, they should locate their designated hall and seat.
  • If mentioned, candidates will be hand frisked as well as photographed or video graphed before entering the centre
  • After all the formalities, candidates should enter the allotted hall and take the designated seat.
  • For Objective Type question papers, rough work is to be done in the space provided for this purpose. No rough work is allowed on the OMR Answer Sheet under any situation.
  • Questions have to be answered on the answer sheet only.
  • Copying, use of unfair means of any kind, talking, asking questions from other candidates or borrowing of material inside the Test Centre is strictly prohibited.
  • The candidates are to return their OMR answer-sheets and the question paper in full to the Centre Superintendent. Tearing or taking away the question paper is not allowed failing which the candidates shall be disqualified from the entire Entrance Test.
  • Smoking is not allowed.
  • Misbehaviour of any kind can lead to the expulsion of the candidate.
  • Caught copying helping in copying will mean cancellation of the answer sheet/cancellation of the candidature.
  • Marking the answer sheet or question paper in any way will also lead to the cancellation of the exam for that candidate.
  • For writing the answer, the number of questions will be printed in the OMR sheet attached to the question book and a circle will be made in front of each number. Black the ball with black hair pen related to the question number related to the answer of the question
