MICA Admission Test II 2021 or MICAT II 2021 is the entrance examination for admission to PGDM (Communication) and PGDM. MICAT II 2021 is conducted by Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad.

MICAT II for the year 2021 has been announced by Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad and will be held on 30/01/2021. The application forms will be available from 26/11/2020 till 20/01/2021. The exam is in online mode. It is being conducted in English language. Admit card will be available from 28/01/2021. Result is expected to be announced on 14/02/2021.

MICAT II 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The minimum Academic Qualifications required for MICAT II 2021 required are passed Bachelor's degree or appearing or equivalent examination from a recognized institute by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Candidates who demonstrate aptitude for expressing, assessing, and / or conceiving ideas that move people to action and achieve business results tend to stand a better chance of being shortlisted.

Each candidate must have taken at least one of the these exams : CAT /  XAT / GMAT (CAT 2020 / XAT 2021 / GMAT (2019 onwards).

    Application Form Filling Instructions

    Students applying for the MICAT I 2020 have to fill up the application form on the official site.  A student can submit the application for only once; multiple forms will be rejected. 
    Requirements to be readied before you start filling up the Application Form of MICAT I 2020:
    • PC or a Laptop with Internet connectivity
    • Qualification details
    • Functional e - mail Id as all communication are made through email; Parents email id is recommended. 
    • Mobile number as all information is sent through SMS too. Parents phone number can be used.
    • For online payments, usually a valid debit or credit card as well as Net Banking facility is a must.
    • Printer is required for keeping hard copies; if there is no printer, one can save the printouts, transfer them on to a pen drive and get it printed from a cyber - cafe.
    • It is recommended to download the information Bulletin Brochure and read it carefully so that you understand various requirements to fill up the form.
    The Usual Steps in filling up the Online Application Form of the MICAT I 2020: 
    • Step-1: Students have to register for Online Application Form. A login and Password are created. 
    • Step-2: Student has to Complete the Application Form and its various sections. 
    • Step-3: Payments have to be made by Debit / Credit Card / Net Banking.

      You can use the MICA ID for all future correspondence with the MICA. Use this MICA ID and MICA password to enter the online application form to update your CAT / XAT / GMAT details.

      Candidates have the choice to opt for the PGDM - C and / or PGDM programme.

      Candidates who choose to opt for both the programme will have to mark the programme of their first preference as priority 1 and the other programme of second preference as priority 2.

      Note : Kindly update your score options in the online application form which you would like to submit (i.e. CAT 2020, XAT 2021 and GMAT 2019 onwards). After receiving your CAT score, XAT Registration No. and GMAT score, please update the details on our website on or before January 20, 2021. (Please mention your XAT Registration number only and we will collect the score from XLRI).

      Examination Day Instructions

      Before entering the Exam Centre

      • Try to reach the exam centre one hour prior to the time advised in the admit card. 
      • Before leaving for the site, please have a hearty breakfast or light lunch depending on the session. Drink plenty of fluids; as in summers dehydration can set in affecting your performance in the exam.
      • Have a cookie or a chocolate just before entering the centre; this prevents hypoglycaemia and thus helps you stay alert longer improving your results.
      • If it is a busy centre, then don’t wait till last for the entry and security check.
      • Centre will not allow you to enter after the stipulated time of closing the doors.
      • Admission to the Exam Centre is with the Admit Card; no candidates shall be admitted to the test without the production of the Admit Card at the Test Centre.
      • Usually no bags are allowed.
      • No eatables are allowed.
      • No communication equipment such as mobile phones / pager / wireless set / scanner / camera or any such electronic / digital gadget etc are allowed in the exam centre; carrying one will lead to disqualification.

      After entering the centre

      • Once candidates enter the centre, they should locate their designated hall and seat. 
      • After all the formalities, candidates should enter the allotted hall and take the designated seat. 
      • No candidate shall be allowed to leave the examination hall / room before the expiry of half of the time allotted for the respective paper.
      • For Objective Type question papers, rough work is to be done in the space provided for this purpose. No rough work is allowed on the OMR Answer Sheet under any situation.
      • Copying, use of unfair means of any kind, talking, asking questions from other candidates or borrowing of material inside the Test Centre is strictly prohibited. 
      • Smoking is not allowed. 
      • Misbehaviour of any kind can lead to expulsion of the candidate.
      • Caught copying helping in copying will mean cancellation of the answer sheet / cancellation of the candidature.

      • Final Merit List Preparation

      Admission will be granted on the basis of merit and subsequently the consideration of the choice of the program will be factored in.

      Once a candidate, as per the merit list, is offered admission from the program of his/her first priority, then his/her name will be automatically be withdrawn from the list of the candidates in the program of his second priority. 

      If the candidate, as per the movement of the merit list, is offered admission in the program of his / her second priority, then the candidate has to choice to accept the offer with an undertaking that he / she is willing to withdraw his/her name from the list of the program of his / her first priority OR he / she may refuse to accept this offer and continue to feature on the waitlist of the program of his / her first priority.

      MICAT II 2021 Admission Procedure

      • Step - I : CAT / XAT / GMAT

      Each candidate must have taken at least one of the these exams : CAT / XAT / GMAT (CAT 2020 / XAT 2021 / GMAT (2019 onwards).

      • Step - II : MICA Admission Test (MICAT).
      • Step - III : GE and PI: All the candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in CAT / XAT / GMAT and MICAT shall appear for both Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI).

      Preparation of Shortlist of the candidates for GE and PI

      • Section A of MICAT (Psychometric test) is a qualifier.
      • Those who qualify on the Psychometric, their relative performance on CAT / XAT / GMAT will be considered. Candidates clearing a minimum cut-off in CAT / XAT total percentile / GMAT score shall be considered. 
      • Those who qualify based on the CAT / XAT / GMAT performance, their Section B of MICAT will be assessed. 
      • Those who qualify on the basis of relative performance subject to a minimum cut - off in *Normalized Scores of Section B of MICAT shall have their Section C of MICAT assessed. Each section will have its own cut-off. 
      • Those who qualify on the basis of a, b, c and d above (on the basis of relative performance subject to a minimum cut-off in Normalized Scores of Section C of MICAT ) shall be considered for short listing for GE and PI. Short listed candidates will be called for GE and PI at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai. (GE and PI candidate list is prepared on the Composite Score formula of 50% CAT / XAT / GMAT and 50% MICAT scores).
