A career in the defence as an army officer is the most respectable and reputed job. Army officers selflessly lead their lives for the security of the country. Courses for Defence studies:

There are different options to choose from to pursue defence studies. Aspirants can go for government examinations like – UPSC/CDS/SSB/NDA/NA. Or the willing candidates can study defence studies from state-level universities. In India, courses that are offered for defence studies are – B.A, B.SC, M.A, M.SC, MBA, M.Phil., Ph.D.

M.Phil. in Defence Studies Have to pass the Master’s degree with at least 55% from any known university 2 years INR 10,000 – 12,000 per annum (approx.)
Ph.D. in Defence Studies Have to pass the Master’s degree with at least 55% from any known university 2-5 years INR 10,000 – 12,000 per annum (approx.)

Defence covers a lot of career options. A candidate after completing their studies or after qualifying an examination can be able to join the posts having a particular pay scale that is described below:

Ø  Indian Army Officer – INR 2 lacs – 4 lacs

Ø  Indian Defence Officer – INR 4 – 6 lacs

Ø  Ground Duty Officer – INR 5 – 7 lacs

Ø  Research Officer – INR 4 – 6 lacs

Ø  Military Officer – INR 5 – 9 lacs

Ø  Lecturer – INR 6 – 8 lacs
