Tax is money that people have to pay to the government. Taxes are used to pay for the people who work for the government, such as the military, police, etc. The government provides benefits to the citizens by using the money collected as tax. The role of a Tax Consultant is to resolve the tax-related issues of the clients. They need to prepare the tax returns for individuals and businesses with complicated estates. Many large companies hire tax consultants.

 

Courses

There are multiple diploma courses and three years graduation programs available. Students can opt for any of the below-mentioned programs to pursue in the field of Taxation.

Diploma Courses- These are the short term courses. The duration of these courses is around six months. The syllabus under the diploma courses includes the necessary knowledge of the subject.

Bachelor Courses(Three Year Duration)- It is a three years graduation degree, where students will get to learn the subject in depth. Both the theoretical and practical knowledge will be covered under the graduation level courses for Taxation.

•           Bachelor of Commerce in Taxation

•           Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting & Finance

Admissions

Some universities and colleges grant admissions in diploma or bachelor courses based on the merit list prepared by the marks obtained in 12th standard. Some universities select students based on the scores they obtain in the entrance exams, followed by group discussions and personal interviews.

Eligibility Criteria: For a Bachelor's degree, students need to pass class 12th examinations with Mathematics, Economics & Accounts.
