Famous International Universities in Europe for Indian Students


 For Indian students, Europe has always been on the list of priorities when it comes to studying abroad. It has been known for its elegance, sophistication, research, and inspiring culture. European education is popular for its wide range of programs from short-term courses to doctorate courses. Europe not only provides a degree but a beautiful learning experience for a person. Its education pattern is recognized and followed worldwide.


Popular European countries among Indian students are Germany, Austria, United Kingdom, Ireland, Poland, Netherland, Finland, France, Switzerland, Italy, etc.

 Europe is always popular for its tourism sector but its education recognition is worldwide. Switzerland is famous for its world-class hospitality management course. France is popular for its fashion, culinary, and business courses. Germany is known for its technology and innovation and has the lowest tuition fee for Indian students. Italy is also famous for fashion and business courses.

Technical University of Munich:  has been ranked 38th by world university ranking and 50 by QS universities ranking. It has 15 academic departments.

University of Zurich: established in 1833, offering degrees in more than 100 fields. It has been an active member of the league of European research universities and the Universitas 21 network.

ETH Zurich: established in 1854, is a public research university offering courses in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and economics. It is ranked 8 in the world by QS world ranking in 2022. For bachelor’s courses, the German language is mandatory, for master’s and doctorate - courses are available in English.

 University of bologna: is one of the oldest running universities in the world, established in 1088.it offers many courses on agriculture, veterinary medicine, engineering, law, humanities, biotechnology, management, etc.

 University of Padua:  it offers a wide range of courses on agronomy, biology, biomedical science, chemical science, engineering, architecture, art, cinema, history, mathematics, oncology, and women and children's healthcare.

 Polytechnic University of Milan:  it is one of the largest technical universities in Italy, founded in 1863. It offers 3 years of bachelor's course, 2-year bachelor's course, 1-year master's course, and Ph.D. in engineering, architecture, and design.

Ghent University: is situated in Belgium city and was founded by King William. It has 11 faculties- ats, philosophy, aw, bioscience and engineering, sciences, medicines, economics and business administration, veterinary medicine, psychology and educational science, pharmaceutical sciences, political and social sciences.

University of Antwerp:  it has 9 faculties, and offers 30 undergraduate courses,69 master's courses, 22 postgraduate courses, and 26 courses taught in English including bachelor's and masters.

 Maynooth University: it has been on the list of top 50 universities in the world. It has been emerging as one of the most popular universities for international students. Apart from academics, it has 100 clubs, societies, unions, sports, and other campus activities.

 National College of Ireland: situated in Dublin, offering undergraduate, and postgraduate courses. It has the highest percentage of employability at 96% as it has collaboration and links with the industry.

European universities accept Indian students on the basis of their merit marks of a precious course/ degree from a recognized institution and TOEFL, IELTS marks other than GMAT, GRE marks are also considered followed by personal interviews by some universities for technical courses. After receiving a letter of acceptance from the institution, one must initiate the process of visas and student permits with the required valid documents.
