Counseling for BTECH
In Haryana, admission and counseling process for
filling B.Tech seats for all Universities
Deptt., Govt. / Govt. Aided and 75% seats of Self Financing Institutes is
administered by Haryana State Technical Education Society
(HSTES). The admission
to these seats will be based on the JEE Main rank and inter-se-merit of
qualifying exam. Private institutions can fill 25% seats (including 15% seats
for children/ wards of NRIs) in B.Tech course at institute level in a transparent
manner for which they have to invite the applications, prepare and display the
merit list.

Admission
Process
For admission to BTech courses in Haryana, candidates
were required to register online along with payment of registration and
counselling fee at https://onlinetesthry.gov.in/ from May 14, 2019 to
June 14, 2019.
Counselling
Process
There will be three rounds of online off-campus counseling.
For 1st & 2nd round of counseling, admissions to
B.E/B.Tech. (including candidates under Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme/ EWS) will
be done on the basis of the inter-se-merit of JEE Main 2019.
For counseling process, HSTES has already released the merit list on June 19, 2019 of eligible candidates to fill the choices. The list has been prepared on the basis of JEE Main score and information filled in application form. Those candidates who have successfully registered themselves till June 19, 2019 before first round of counselling are eligible to participate in 1st & 2nd round of counseling.
1st round of counselling
First round of counseling (from June 21, 2019 to July 1, 2019) has been completed for the admission to BTech courses in Haryana state.
2nd round of counselling
Based on candidate’s fee payment and willingness for
upgradation, admitted seats and vacant seats, the authority has released the
schedule for the second round of counseling. The candidates who has not been
allotted seat in 1st round of counseling or who are not satisfied with
the allotted seat or who are willing for upgradation in subsequent rounds are
eligible for 2nd round of counseling.
Choice filling & locking: Candidates have to fill
their choices (from July 2, 2019 to July 4, 2019) for 2nd
round of counseling otherwise the choices filled during 1st round
will be considered for upgradation.
Seat allotment: On the basis of these
choices, the seat allotment result for 2nd round of counseling will
be declared on July 5, 2019. The
allotment will be purely on the basis of choices filled, merit (rank), category
and availability of seats.
Reporting and fee submission: Candidates who will get an
allotment for the first time in 2nd round will have to report to
allotted institute after paying the admission fee (on July 8 to July 9, 2019).
3rd round of counselling
For 3rd online-off-campus counseling,
first preference will be given to those candidates who have appeared/
registered with their JEE Main 2019 roll no. and thereafter the preference will
be given to candidates on the basis of merit of qualifying examination. To
participate in 3rd round of counseling, candidates have to again
register themselves from July 8, 2019 to July 17, 2019. Along with that
application fee of Rs 500 (Rs 200 for reserved categories) have to be deposited
in PNB or Axis bank either in online mode (upto July 17, 2019) or through bank
challan (upto July 18, 2019).
Note:
A candidate who has already participated in 1st & 2nd
round of counseling and paid the application fee is not required to pay the
application fee again for 3rd online Counseling.
The registered candidates after taking the print out
of online filled application form along with his/ her relevant documents will
have to report at the designated centers for document verification (upto
July 18, 2019). The authority will publish the merit list of the candidates
(on July 22, 2019) whose documents will be verified and only those will
be eligible for filling choices in 3rd round. Candidates in the merit
list will have to deposit counseling fee of Rs 500 either in online mode or
through bank challan (July 22, 2019 onwards).
Choice filling & locking: Candidates have to fill &
lock their choices (from July 23, 2019 to July 25, 2019) for 3rd
round of counseling.
Seat allotment: On the basis of these
choices, the seat allotment result for 3rd round of counseling will
be declared on July 26, 2019. The
allotment will be purely on the basis of choices filled, merit (rank), category
and availability of seats.
Reporting and fee submission: Candidates who will get an
allotment in 3rd round will have to report to allotted institute
after paying the admission fee (on July 29 to July 30, 2019).
Note:
·
In case a
candidate upgrades to a new discipline in the same institution, he/she should
report again in the allotted institution but need not to deposit admission fee
again.
·
If a candidate upgrades to a new institute, one
semester fee is required to be deposited
in the new institute also along with document verification and he/she will have
to submit fee withdrawal request in the previous institution.
