INI CET 2026 July Session is the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET) that will be held for admission into postgraduate medical courses for the July 2026 academic session.

INI CET 2026 July Session: Notification
The official notification for INI CET 2026 July Session has been released already. It notified candidates who seek admission into postgraduate medical and dental programs.
Through the official AIIMS examination portal, the application process for the examination will be conducted online. Candidates have to complete their registration process with care. They have to submit the form within the specified timeline, which is April 25, 2026, 11:55 pm.
The application process started from March 28, 2026. After the form submission window closes, candidates will be given a chance to make corrections. Any correction in the application will be allowed until May 02, 2026.

INI CET 2026 July Session: Admit Card
Starting from May 09, 2026, the INI CET 2026 July Session Admit card will be available for download. Candidates can use the official link to download their admit card from the official website.
Right after downloading their admit card, candidates should print it and keep multiple copies safely. They may need to show the admit card during the admission and counselling procedures.
The admit card will contain important details about them and the examination, such as:

Candidates can also get information whether they need to carry a copy of their own passport-size photograph to the examination centre. They also have to confirm their identity. To do this, they need to carry identity proof documents like:

Candidates have to go through all the instructions mentioned on the admit card very carefully. They have to also make sure that they have all documents with them in advance, which may have to be shown for entry to the exam centre. On the exam day, they should try to reach the exam centre a minimum of 1 hour before the exam time mentioned in the admit card. After the closing time, late entry will not be allowed.
INI CET 2026 July Session: Exam Pattern
The INI CET 2026 July Session examination will be conducted in online mode. This will be a theory-based test, consisting of multiple-choice questions (MCQ).
Candidates will be expected to answer as many as 200 questions in total. The full duration for this exam will be of 180 minutes. As this is a highly competitive exam and conducted for admission into the top medical institutes of India, each and every candidate is expected to focus on time management and accuracy, to perform well.
According to the marking scheme disclosed for this examination, candidates will receive one mark for every correct answer. However, they should keep in mind that the exam includes negative marking. This means that there will be a deduction of one-third mark from their total score for every incorrect response. Due to this negative marking system, candidates should avoid making random guesses and attempt each question with utmost care.
INI CET 2026 July Session: Counselling
After the declaration of results on May 23, 2026, the INI CET 2026 July Session counselling process will be conducted. Counselling is done to allot seat to qualified candidates in participating medical institutions, based on their preferences and rank.
Candidates who pass the exam successfully will have to take part in the counselling process for admission into MD, MS, DM, M.Ch and MDS programs across AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, NIMHANS, and other listed institutions. They have to keep their admit card and all other essential documents absolutely safe and take those along with them. These may have to be shown during the counselling and verification process.
