List Of Courses Available After 12th For Science Students

  After 12th class there are a number of courses available for the science student. The benefit that science students get over the other stream students is that they can appear for all science as well as non-science career options. Generally, students only know about courses like MBBS, BDS and BTech because these are the most common and popular courses. Apart from these are many courses available for the students. 

Popular courses after 12th with PCM are: 

1.Bachelor of Technology (BTech) 

Bachelor of engineering (B.E)/Bachelor of Technology (BTech) is a professional undergraduate degree available for the science student. University offers other degrees along with the engineering degree named their degree as BE while university which offers the professional engineering degree name as BTech. 

Course duration: 4 years 

Eligibility: The aspirant must have completed 12th class with physics, chemistry, and mathematics along with securing a minimum aggregate of 50% at HSC level. 

Admission process: There are many ways to get admission in BTech college: 

1. Appear for JEE MAIN exam or any state government exam, after clearing the exam you will get admission in the state government or national government college. For admission in IIT the aspirant has to clear JEE ADVANCED exam 

2. Top private universities of India conduct their own exam, after clearing the exam candidate can take admission in that particular university. 

3. Many universities take direct admission also based on your 12th score. 

 

2.Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) 

Bachelor of Architecture is an undergraduate degree program for Architecture. This program involves the art of planning, designing, and construction building along with other physical structures. 

Course duration: 5 years 

Eligibility: The aspirant must have completed 12th class with physics, chemistry, and mathematics along with securing a minimum aggregate of 50% at HSC level. 

Admission process: There are various entrance exams for the BArch admission like NATA, AAT, ITM NEST, GAT UGTP, GCET. The student can appear for any of the exams. 

 

3.Bachelor of Computer application (BCA) 

Nowadays BCA is the course where a very famous and wild range of students start taking admission to this course. It is an undergraduate course generally undertaken by students who wish to explore the world of computer language. 

Course duration: 3 years 

Eligibility: candidates who have cleared 10+2 with mathematics and secured a minimum score of 40% to 60% marks can take BCA. 

Admission process: the candidate does not need to appear for any entrance exam. They can get admission directly in the university with their 10+2 score. 

 

4.Bachelor of science (in IT and Software) 

BSc in IT and Software is an undergraduate course that can be pursued by students who have an academic qualification of class XII. students who have interest in field of building software and computer can take this course 

Course duration: 3 years 

Eligibility: candidates who have cleared 10+2 with mathematics and secured a minimum score of 40% to 60% marks can take BCA. 

Admission process: the candidate does not need to appear for any entrance exam. They can get admission directly in the university with their XII score. 

 

2 Popular courses after 12th class with PCB 

 

1.Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) 

MBBS is a degree in medicine and surgery undertaken at graduation level to become a licensed doctor. There's provision of marks relaxation for reserved category students in government and government affiliated medical institutes. 

Course duration: 5 years 

Eligibility: candidate must have cleared 10+2 with biology and secured minimum of 60% marks. 

Admission process: the candidate has to clear the NEET exam to get admission in any MBBS college in India. 

 

2.BSc Nursing 

BSc Nursing is an undergraduate degree which helps students in undertaking the objective and responsibilities of nursing as a profession. Students should be registered as nurse midwives with any state nursing registration council. 

Course duration: 2 years 

Eligibility: candidate must clear the 10+2 with biology and secured minimum of 50% aggregate marks. 

Admission process: the candidate who has cleared the XII with PCB can apply for the BSc nursing in any particular college. 

 

3.Bachelor of pharmacy (B.Pharma) 

Bachelor of pharmacy is an undergraduate course within the field of pharmacy. It is one of the job-oriented jobs in India for science students. Diverse job opportunities available in the government and private sector after doing Pharma. 

Course duration: 4 years 

Eligibility: candidate must clear the 10+2 with biology and secured minimum of 50% aggregate marks. 

Admission process: various state government entrance exams in which students have to appear for the admission in this course are MHCET, KCET, HPCET,GUJCET etc.
