Nursing admissions to Kerala is undergoing a change over the years. While there was a state level admission exam a few years back, now for the last 3-4 years it has been based on marks obtained in the qualifying exams as per eligibility criteria. There is a very strong move to adopt NEET UG for admission to nursing courses after class 12. In year 2020, so far the process is the same as last year. There is also a move to stop admissions in diploma nursing courses like ANM and GNM. However a few institutions still offer ANM course, though the number of colleges offering ANM is dwindling in Kerala.
