Nursing as a stream for admission is very popular amongst students in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu covers Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, CMAI and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. There are a total of 651 nursing colleges in Tamil Nadu. 56 nursing colleges are in the Government sector. A huge 575 private nursing colleges exist in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Thus plenty of opportunities are available for admission to nursing courses in Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Nursing Courses in Tamil Nadu.

4 B.Sc (Post Basic) 10+2 + GNM 2 years
5 M. Sc. The Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks. 2 years
6 M. Phil MSc 1 year (Full time) 2 years (part time)
7 Ph D MSc./ M Phil 3-5 years
8 Post Basic Specialty Diploma Courses RN & RM One Year
