UCEED 2027: Important Dates

The registration process for the UCEED 2027 examination started on October 1, 2026, at 1:00 pm. You can complete your registration until October 31, 2026 and pay the regular application fee. Even if you miss that deadline, you can benefit from the late-registration facility offered by IIT Bombay, which is available from November 1 to 6, 2026. The late-registration portal closes at 5:00 p.m. on the final day - November 6, 2026.

On January 17, 2027, the UCEED 2027 exam will be held across various examination cities from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Qualifying the exam is only one part of the overall admission process. When the participating institutes open their admission portal on March 15, 2027, you also need to submit a separate B.Des. application to apply separately for B.Des. programmes. It is crucial to do so if you want to seek admission to such programmes at the participating institutes after the results are declared. From March 15, 2027, the application portal for these programmes will become active.

To complete your registration, you should not wait until the last date. Try to apply early. This will help you to avoid payment failures, technical issues or problems with uploading documents that often occur when many students try to access the official registration portal at the same time.

UCEED 2027: Fees

The registration fee for the UCEED 2027 examination depends on the nationality, category and gender of candidates. When it comes to Indian aspirants, female candidates and candidates belonging to the SC, ST and PwD categories are supposed to pay a registration fee of ₹2,000. All other Indian aspirants must pay ₹4,000.

You have to pay an extra late fee of ₹500 if you apply during the late-registration period. It means that Indian aspirants in the eligible concession categories have to pay ₹2,500 during the late window. Other Indian candidates have to pay ₹4,500.

For certain OCI/PIO cardholders and foreign nationals, the fee structure is different. There are separate fee slabs for aspirants who have valid OCI/PIO cards issued before March 4, 2021. Other foreign nationals have to pay US$200 or its equivalent in Indian rupees, including those who have OCI/PIO cards issued on or after March 4, 2021. For foreign nationals, the currency conversion will be based on the applicable exchange rate on October 1, 2026. Such late-registering candidates have to pay an extra fee of US$50, converted at the applicable exchange rate into Indian rupees.
