A total amount of 7, 95,031 students residing in India cleared NEET 2019. As several as 315 foreign nationals, 1,209 NRIs, 441 students holding OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India) cards and 46 PIOs (Persons of Indian Origin) also passed the test.
The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted by the NTA for admission to MBBS as well as BDS training courses in the medical and dental colleges approved by the Medical Council of India and also the Dental Council of India respectively.
Two students scored 700 out of 720, 5 racked up 695, 2 had 691, 16 students scored 690, 3 racked up 687, 13 scored 685 and also five scored 686 marks. According to officials, if two students are linked on the exact same score, the one who obtains the greater marks in biology obtains a seniority. Delhi had the highest possible percent of candidates clearing the test at 74.92, followed by Haryana (73.41) and Chandigarh (73.24). Nagaland had the least pass portion at 34.52.
2, 86,245 candidates in the unreserved category cleared NEET last year. A larger number, which is 3, 75,635 in the OBC group cleared in the exam. 99,890 in the Scheduled Caste and also 35,272 in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) group cleared the exam. There was an increase of 14.52 percent in the number of pupils who signed up for NEET this year.
In a statement, the National Testing Agency (NTA) stated 79.31 percent of the candidates took the exam in English, while 11.84 percent selected Hindi. The percentage of candidates that took the exam in regional languages stood at 8.86.
