The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday notified its plan for examination of Class XII pupils after the Supreme Court gave in-principle authorization to the board's formula. The assessment policy, that was chosen by a 13-member panel, will cbe based on a mix of marks scored in courses X, XI and pre-board tests.The CBSE has asked schools to finalise outcomes as well as submit it on the portal by July 15 while the final result will be declared by July 31.

Theory paper analysis formula:
30 per cent weightage to Class X marks
30 percent weightage to Class XI marks
40 per cent weightage for unit test/mid-term/pre-board exams marks obtained during class 12
Weightage for Class X marks
This will be based on best three theory marks obtained out of main five topics
Weightage for Class XI marks
For Class XI, the 30 per cent marks will be based on theory component of final test
Weightage for Class XII marks
For Class XII, the 40 per cent marks will certainly be based on unit test/mid-term/pre-board exams
Marks of practical/internal assessment
The marks of practical/internal evaluation of Class XII will given on actual basis as published by the college on the CBSE portal.
Essential repeat
In case, any type of pupil is not able to meet the certifying criterion, he/she will be placed in "Essential Repeat" or "Compartment" Category.
College's past efficiency
The complete marks awarded should remain in consonance with the past performance of the school in Class XII board exams.The subject-wise marks assessed by the institution for 2020-2021 should be within a range of +/ -5 marks gotten by the trainees in the institution in the subject in the year of reference.
