NEET PG Counselling On Hold By Supreme Court

The Supreme Court of India has directed the centre to stop counselling for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate, or NEET-PG, until it decides on the validity of EWS and OBC reservation implementation in the all India quota (AIQ). NEET PG counselling for AIQ (50 per cent) seats was scheduled to begin today i.e. October 25.

The Supreme Court of India was hearing a batch of petitions in which  Centre and Medical Counselling Committee (MCC)’s July 29 notification was challenged, This notification was providing 27 per cent reservation to OBC and 10 per cent to EWS category students in all medical seats that come under the central pool.
