Today, the NEET UG was held at examination centres across the country and around the world. Millions of students sat this rescheduled exam. A total of 5,440 centres were set up domestically and 14 overseas. The National Testing Agency (NTA) reported that of the more than 2.279 million candidates registered, nearly 2 million sat the exam.
The NTA said that the question paper was made available in 13 languages this time, including Hindi and English. Extensive arrangements were made during the examination, keeping in mind the convenience and security of the candidates.
NTA Provides Special Arrangements for Over 10,000 PwD Candidates and 81 Students with Serious Medical Conditions
According to the agency, special facilities were provided for over 10,000 disabled candidates. In addition, separate arrangements were also made for around 81 candidates suffering from serious health issues. One candidate had recently been in a road accident, while another was undergoing chemotherapy.
More than 10,000 students with disabilities (PwD) sat for the exam, and all necessary arrangements had been made for them.
Special arrangements were made for around 81 students suffering from serious medical conditions.
The NTA said that special arrangements were made to give these students the opportunity to sit for the exam, so that their years of hard work would not be affected.
