NTA has urged students to ignore rumours about NEET UG Re-Exam 2026, confirming the June 21 exam date, enhanced security measures, and student support helpline.
NTA Issues Important Advisory for NEET UG Re-Exam Candidates
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has shared an important message for students and parents on X. The NTA has appealed to students and parents to remain calm and not pay attention to the rumours circulating on social media.
Alongside this, the NTA has also assured students and parents in the message that the NEET UG Re-Exam 2026 will be conducted impartially. The agency has made several arrangements to this end. Furthermore, the agency stated that the examination will be held on 21 June as scheduled.
Students and Parents Asked to Trust Only Official Updates
The NTA further stated that they should only trust official information and not pay any heed to rumours regarding the examination being postponed. The NTA said that they want to assure all students and parents that the examination will be conducted impartially and securely, with the cooperation of the relevant ministries, state governments and security agencies .
Mental Health Support Helpline Shared for Students
The NTA has also shared the Manas Mental-Health Helpline number, 14416, to assist students. The NTA said that if any student requires assistance, they can contact on this number. The NTA has also appealed to all parents, teachers, and the general public to help students remain calm and not to share any misleading information with them. The agency further advised them to focus solely on performing well in the examination and to get a good night's sleep every day.
The NTA also spoke about the NEET UG examination held across the country on 3 May. It said the decision to cancel the exam was taken entirely in the students' best interests. It added that the lessons learned from the incident have been used to strengthen the examination.
