Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay, Mumbai

The prospective candidates are required to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 conducted by IIMs every year. The candidates will be invited to appear for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview between 5th to 8th March based on their Composite Score, which is calculated as per the short listing criteria.

The candidates have to apply for CAT 2019 and admission to Master of Business Administration(MBA) programme of SJMSOM separately. The IIMs have no role in the selection of candidates for admission to the Master of Business Administration(MBA) programme offered by Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM), IIT Bombay.

Admission Process

Admission application as well as submission of documents are expected to be done online and do not require any payment of fee. On completion of the required documentation, the candidate isinvited for an interview either to SJMSOM or to the Olin campus, as is convenient to the candidate and is interviewed by a panel of faculty members who are from both the institutions. The panel evaluates quality of experience, leadership ability, communication skills and motivation of the candidate and then recommends the candidate for admission. Once the admission letter isissued, the candidate is given twoweeks’ time to secure admission.

B.E/B.Tech or equivalent with 60% marks/6.5 CPI (55% marks/6.0 CPI for SC/ST) and at

least two years of work experience and qualified in GATE/UGC-NET (Lectureship)/UCJRF/CSIR-NET (Lectureship)/CSIR-JRF or having CAT/GMAT/GRE score within

the last five years.

ii Master of Management /ME /M.Tech / M.Phil/2 years MBA or 2 year PG Diploma

in Management from any institute recognized by a Government body

(AICTE/UGC/AIU) with 60% marks/6.5 CPI (55% marks/6.0 CPI for SC/ST).

iii. M.Sc/M.A/ M.Com/LLM/MCA or equivalent with 60% marks/6.5 CPI (55% marks/6.0

CPI for SC/ST) at post graduation level and qualified in GATE/UGC-NET

Lectureship (ls)/UGC-JRF/CSIR-NET Lectureship/CSIR-JRF, or having

CAT/GMAT/GRE score within the last five years

OTHER INFORMATION:

All applicants have to be graduate with adequate work experience of around 2 years Attendance has to 80% as per CE&QIP rules for Certificate 31 days classes will be interaction oriented classroom based On last day there will be exam Some sessions may have quiz also In addition to the regular class, all will be motivated to voluntarily do an experiential learning project and review any book, other than text-book of management Coordinators will provide insight On an average, each participant thus, gets around 4-6 hours of time from both Coordinators.
