Eligibility
Institute invites application for its regular Doctoral Programme starting from August, 2019. Indian nationals satisfying the following criteria are eligible to apply: M.Sc. in Physics with a minimum of 55% marks (in aggregate) or equivalent CGPA cumulatively till the last year/ semester. (Candidates appearing for M.Sc. in 2019, and who satisfy any of the criteria (2) as mentioned below can apply. Their admission will be treated as provisional.) A valid GATE score with rank upto 200 (who appeared in 2019), OR CSIR NET (JRF) within the last one year (Examinations held in June 2018 and Dec 2018), (Due to administrative constraints, we won't be able to consider DST-Inspire fellowship for Ph.D. admissions 2019. Although, those who have already applied via DST-Inspire, are welcome to apply again via their GATE/NET/JEST score cards.)

If a candidate has a rank beyond 302 (Percentile: 95.87) in JEST-2019 but satisfies the criteria mentioned above, she/he is encouraged to appl
