All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination from a board recognized of established by Central/state Govt. through a legislation with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry Biotechnology Computer Science Biology Further as per AICTE Guidelines/Instructions the candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Admission through Lateral Entry to the B.TechProgrammes for diploma holders at the second year level is made on the basis of relative merit of the candidates in the Lateral Entry Engineering Test(LEET) conducted by Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar/Aggregate of Diploma marks. Candidates admitted under this category study the same courses, as ordained in the regular scheme of respective B.Techprogrammes, from 3rd semester onwards. -Those candidates who have passed their diploma in any Engineering/Technology of equivalant grade point OR candidates who have passed B.Sc degree (Non-AICTE). All those candidates who have passed diploma examination from an AICTE approved Institution and have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology shall be eligible. Eligibility
The candidate seeking admission in Gian Jyoti Group should contact the institute offices for more detailed information starting from the month of March every year. Candidates desirous of admissions in MBA programme at GJSM & other institutes to PTU, Jalandhar have to undertake a written entrance examination, Management Entrance Examination (MET), the information for which is published by the PTU in the national and regional newspapers. The meritorious candidates, who have applied for MBA, on the basis of their score in the written examination, are required to appear for counseling. The counseling schedule for MBA admissions for the meritorious candidates is published in MET prospectus & the revised schedule (if any) is advertised in the leading newspapers. The applicant has to bring with him/her the necessary certificates & the counseling fee determined by the University. Candidate needs to be vigilant about the admission/counseling schedule fixed by PTU
