Introduction


The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct computer-based Common Admission Test 2018 (CAT 2018) on Sunday, 25th November, 2018 in two sessions. CAT 2018 will be conducted by IIMs as a pre-requisite for admission to various management programmes of IIMs.

    Additional Information for SC, ST, NC-OBC, and PWD Candidates

    • If a candidate belongs to SC or ST categories, respective caste / tribe must be listed in the Government of India schedule. The caste certificate that the candidate submits to IIM should be in the Government approved format and should clearly state: (a) Name of the caste/tribe; (b) Whether the candidate belongs to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe; (c) District and the State or Union Territory of candidate’s ordinary residence; and...

    Application Form Fee

    Rs 950 for SC, ST and PwD category candidates.

    Rs1900 for all other categories of candidates.

    Please note that a candidate needs to pay registration fees only once, irrespective of the number of institutes he/she is applying for. Fees once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances.


    Application Form Filling Instructions

    The registration window opens on 8th August, 2018 and will close at 5:00 p.m. on 19th September, 2018. The details will be available in the registration guide.

    At the time of registration, the candidates have to select any four Test Cities as per their preference from the drop down menu.     CAT exam does not have a defined syllabus for CAT preparation. However, you can attempt the mock test to understand the pattern of exam and types of questions. Check the CAT website regularly for the announcement of mock test.

    Candidates are prohibited from bringing calculators to the testing centre. You may use the onscreen calculator that will be available throughout the exam.

    The Admit card will appear only if your online application form is submitted successfully. You will receive an automated email confirmation upon successful submission. You can then log into the CAT website using your registered User ID and view / print the Admit card.

    CAT 2018 RESULTS AND SHORTLISTING

    Information related to CAT 2018 results will be tentatively available starting second week of January 2019 on this website. The list of candidates shortlisted for the next level of selection will be made available on the website of the respective IIMs. Each IIM will send interview letters to the shortlisted candidates directly. The criteria for shortlisting vary across IIMs. Please visit the admission websites of respective IIMs for further information.
